Blue Bridge Café in Ballygunge is a delightful, pet-friendly space that blends cozy interiors with a relaxed setting. It's a great spot for casual dining, and the added charm of friendly staff and well-presented food makes it a standout in the area. During our visit, we tried six items, and overall, the experience was quite satisfying. They have chess board, ludo, tik tak toe and other indoor games.
Chicken Ala Kiev (Rating: 4/5): Crispy on the outside with a delicious garlic butter filling that oozed out beautifully, this dish was rich and indulgent. The mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies on the side added a nice balance to the plate.
Chicken Platter (Rating:4/5): A wholesome mix of grilled chicken, sautéed vegetables, and a sunny-side-up egg. While hearty, the flavors could’ve used a bit more seasoning to truly shine. Still, a good option for those looking for a balanced meal.
Bacon Wrapped sausage (Rating: 4.5/5): This was the star of the meal. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and savory with a smoky flavor, the bacon wrapping was crisp and packed a punch. It’s a must-try appetizer.
Fresh Lime Soda (Rating: 4/5): Refreshing and zesty, this simple beverage was a perfect palate cleanser. It hit the right notes—cool, tangy, and not overly fizzy.
Cola float (Rating: 3.5/5): An interesting twist on the usual ice cream and coke undertone. Not that much good, but worth a try for adventurous palates.
Sizzling brownie (Rating: 4/5): It tastes good.
Overall: Blue Bridge Café offers a welcoming atmosphere, creative food, and value for money. A solid...
Read moreBlue Bridge Restro Cafe has a visually appealing rooftop and first-floor seating setup, with well-decorated areas that give off a cozy vibe. However, the entry via the undecorated stairs doesn't quite set the mood. Location-wise, it’s slightly tucked away from the main road, so not the most accessible spot.
The staff was polite but not very attentive—we ordered two iced lattes, but only one was prepared. No drinking water was served, and there was no wash basin available either, which was inconvenient.
Seating options included both AC and non-AC areas, but the air conditioning wasn’t effective enough, though ceiling fans were present.
Unfortunately, the food was the biggest letdown. Most items were overpriced and not up to the mark in terms of taste or value. Bread seemed to dominate most dishes, and the tuna sandwich, in particular, was disappointing.
We expected a better café experience. A free cappuccino was offered right after we entered—an appreciated gesture, but not ideal on an empty stomach. The iced latte also lacked quality—it didn’t taste like fresh beans were used, and topping it with ground coffee powder only made things worse.
The cafe has potential, but improvements are needed—especially in terms of coffee culture and service. Introducing variety in croissants, cookies, brownies, and offering gluten-free options could significantly enhance...
Read moreWorst café experience ever! WORST. As someone who always loves to try out new, quaint places, this one was on my list for a long time. Especially since I already loved the neighbouring places, like Forkfull, and SPHS is my alma mater. Ah, what a mistake! My first disappointment was when they said pork items were out of stock, which ruled out many options, and they already have limited items. My second disappointment arrived in the form of PLASTIC GLASSES for ₹250 drinks! Seriously? We can get this outside for ₹50! The last straw was the grilled fish in lemon butter sauce. There was ZERO trace of either butter or lemon. And, as I mentioned before, I am someone who tries out different cafés. But, I've never seen such a NEGLIGIBLE amount of veggies or mashed potatoes in dishes which have grilled fish, chicken steaks, etc. Atleast, mashed potatoes should be fulfilling, if not the veggies. Not to mention the veggies were almost raw when we ate it. I am BEYOND DISAPPOINTED! The prices make no sense with what is being served. If I wanted such a horrible and poor dining experience, I would have gone to a roadside stall, and paid half of what I paid here, yet be fully satisfied. I am never visiting again, and I'll make sure others are also aware of this, and not spend their hard-earned money...
