DO NOT go to this CCD if you care about your money. The people serving here are cheats - if not robbers. Let me share my experience - I am a regular at CCDs and know that adding ice creams and creams and other toppings are exorbitantly priced and hence always avoid them. Whenever the cashier or the person taking the order ask me about add-ons I mention that I just want the regular without any add-ons. In this CCD however, the staff was simply not happy that I don't want any add-ons and two separate person came separately and with different play of words tried to coerce me into opting for add-ons. I had ordered Devil's Own and Cafe Frappe. Anyway, I kept to my usual statement - that give me the regular one. Finally this guy (picture attached) came and asked me if wanted to add chocolate chips or some other option (I forgot). Note that this guy didn't even take my initial order. He had come after almost 10 mins of me placing the order. I was quite irritated by this time and again told him that can you please give me the regular drink without any add-ons? Then he said, "No sir, this Choco chips is standard now." I was surprised because just 2 days back I had Devils Own in Mani Square CCD and there were no choco chips. Anyway, I said okay go ahead if this is standard. When I finally received the bill, I was shocked - he has added 2 whipped creams and 2 choco chips into the bill. The actual bill was supposed to be INR 352 (I have taken this combination numerous times), however the bill was of INR 605. This, in spite of telling me over 6 times to 3 different people in the same CCD that I want the regular option. I refused to pay the bill and asked for the correct bill without add-ons. This guy then kept me waiting for few minutes, and then said he can remove the choco chips from the bill but I will have to pay for the whipped creams. I still refused and asked him to call the manager. Then one lady worker (not sure if she is the manager) came forward and generated the correct bill and apologized. Attached herewith the wrong bill and correct bill for reference (note the bill amounts, the items billed and the time of bills). So, please avoid this CCD at all costs. There are many other nearby CCDs in the same...
Read moreFirst experience at The Square Kolkata was disappointing! As coffee lovers you expect two things good ambience which I give a 5 on 5 but coffee was horrible!! Service was worse! We ordered for a French press which was fine and a cappuccino which was was barely warm and strong and watery!! Well if I had to pay a good sum of cash for coffe I might as well would have gone to Starbucks for a matter of fact! I wanted to try The Square and the experience was horrible! On returning the coffee and telling them what was the problem one of the staff who was quite cheecky enough comes up and says cappuccino is supposed to be luke warm!! Well I don’t want to name the staff but the attitude was unacceptable! Not worth the money!! I will never recommend this place to anyone!! Very very sad!! Apart from the coffee the training is required for the staff!! Zero empathy! I work for a hospitality brand, this is not what we expect from a...
