I recently visited D'ley Chinese Restaurant and wanted to share my experience for those considering dining here.
Food Quality: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) The food is definitely the highlight of this place. The dishes are flavorful, well-prepared, and reflect authentic Chinese tastes with a good mix of Indo-Chinese options. Ingredients seemed fresh, and the portions were satisfying. From noodles to chili chicken, everything we tried was enjoyable and worth coming back for in terms of taste.
Pricing: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) While the food quality is commendable, the pricing felt slightly on the higher side, especially considering the overall setup and service level. It might not be the best value-for-money option in the area, particularly if you're dining out with family or in a group.
Service: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) The service leaves room for improvement. Staff responsiveness was slow, and the overall attentiveness didn’t match the pricing or food quality. A bit more professionalism and promptness would make the experience more pleasant.
Atmosphere: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) The ambiance is quite basic and could be significantly better. While the seating arrangements are adequate, the interior feels a bit dull and lacks the cozy or inviting vibe you’d expect from a place with such good food.
Facilities: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) One major disappointment was the lack of a washroom facility, which is a basic expectation from any dine-in restaurant. This was especially inconvenient and might be a deal-breaker for many customers, especially families and elderly patrons.
Overall Verdict: 3/5 D'ley Chinese Restaurant has a lot of potential thanks to its good food. However, the higher pricing, lack of basic facilities, and subpar service and atmosphere might affect your overall experience. If you’re going just for the taste and can overlook the other aspects, it might be worth a try. Otherwise, you may want to explore other options that offer a more complete...
Read moreGot the chance to try out this authentic Chinese restaurant for a dinner on Sep 2025 and below is the review.
The restaurant is non-AC and can accommodate approx. 18-20 heads at a time. The waiter was helpful and the service was pretty fast. We had the following items:
Chicken Yam Wonton - Wantons were light and the filling was also sufficient. Serves 10 pieces. (Price - Rs. 190) (10/10) Chili Roast Pork Fried (Char Sui) - Medium spicy Shredded Pork fat with meat portions were awesome. Portion was enough for 1 person and a child. (Price - Rs. 300) (10/10)
Below are the items which we did a take-away but forgot to take pics. Mixed Fried Rice - Comes with Egg, Chicken, Prawn and Pork. Taste was good and the quantity was enough for 2 adults. (Price - Rs. 240) (10/10) Mixed Yam Mein - Comes with shredded Chicken, Prawn and Chicken Wanton. The quantity was same as Fried Rice. The noodles were dry, not sure why but maybe because we did a take-away. (Price - Rs. 240) (7/10) Chicken Sui Mai - 8 pcs. of Chicken Sui Mai were average. They were bland in taste. (Price. Rs. 280) (6/10) Hot Garlic Chicken - Very tasty Hot Garlic chicken as we well know. Serves 8 pieces of moderate size Boneless Chicken. (Price - Rs. 240) (10/10) Hunan Prawn - Also serves 8 pcs of moderate size, the taste was really good. (Price - Rs. 330) (9/10)
Overall the quantity was enough for the price they are charging. The restaurant could have been air-conditioned to attract more customers.
Parking can be difficult on weekdays especially for 4 wheelers. You might need to go meters ahead to find dedicated parking spot but...
Read moreMuch awaited eatery.. Finally visited. Located near the proximity of another authentic Chinese food giant 'Tung Nam'. A blink and miss food joint serving authentic Chinese dishes known for its pork dishes.
Now coming to the food review, I've ordered:
Fish Ball Soup: I've been waiting to try this Chinese breakfast for a long time. It was an experiment to me and for me it is a fail. The warm fish balls and clear soup is same as it should be however my tastebuds were not ready for that stinging raw fishy taste and made me wondering whether I would try it again or not. However with the hot sauce they are serving I was able to finish it. Chilli Pork Dry: আহা যেন অমৃত. Pork meat (which implies less fat) tossed with onion and chillies. Meat was neither hard nor chewy which made me crave for more. Roasted Pork Fried: taste and look wise it's kind of a resemble of the chilli pork tung nam serving. And gives the same foodgasm. Mixed Singapore Fried Rice: Nothing fancy other than the yellow color and cashews. But tastes good Hong Kong Chicken: A complete Party Pooper. The chicken and the gravy both tasted bland and the smell of star anise was too much overpowering.
Now coming to the hygiene and ambience.. Mujhe ghanta farak padta he.
Final verdict : May visit again once or twice in future but can't guarantee it and usse unko ghanta...
