Hotel Minerva — Hotel in Kolkata

Reasonable hotel with positive energy...

We three friends from Kerala plan to visit Kolkata for two days and prefer Hotel Minerva for our stay. .It was a good decision!!! We booked a triple bedded room for two days including free breakfast for 2700 through make my trip combo offer with flight booking. When a person from Kerala visit Kolkata he always expect to experience a city with a vintage charm...Yes this property also has an antique beauty. Spacious rooms with 'British' height!!! Speedy room service, tasty food well mannered bearers.. Entry of hotel is from a wide road but somewhat not clean. Inside the building everything is fine. Lift is an old one but working properly Average 15 km from Kolkata airport. You can easily get Uber around Rupees .200/- . (We stayed here from 2nd March to 4th March 2018. Now the rate may...

I was grossly misleaded to book this hotel and once i stepped in it was a nightmare experience for me. I thought as mentioned it must be centrally located but to my surprise it was located in Bara Bazaar area which is so busy area and the hustle and bustle of the hawkers , whole-sellers and people are just unbearable. Keeping that aside i also feel that the hotel should not be classified as any star and there are hardly any proper educated staff to converse with . There is just one bar in the hotel which is filled with such bad crowd. I just wanted to shift the moment i had just stayed for one night and that's what my experience was . I will not recommend this hotel to any people...
