Once upon a dinner that should’ve been perfect, our favorite family restaurant crashed from a shining 5 to a sorry 1—overnight. The villain of the tale? Mr. Jadunath, a server so spectacularly bad, he deserves his own cautionary ballad.
It began innocently enough: Manchow soup and crispy chilli baby corn. The soup? As bland as boiled rainwater. When we asked, Jadunath shrugged—“Aisa hi hota hai.” Fine, soldiering on. Then came the baby corn—seven lonely pieces drowning in an army of onions and capsicum. We chewed through the disappointment.
The rava dosa arrived as a brief redemption—good, until we realized the chutney had been “in production.” When it finally landed, it was half-crushed lentils and regret. The thatte idly followed and, hallelujah, it was divine—soft, warm, familiar. We thought the tide had turned.
But fate had other plans. As my daughter craved noodles, we ordered chilli garlic noodles—mild, we requested. Just then, at the next table, a man began changing his baby’s diaper. On. The. Table. No one blinked.
Our noodles arrived fiery enough to summon dragons. The kids couldn’t even look at them without tearing up. And the peppercorns? Tiny grenades. We called Jadunath—he launched into courtroom defence mode. “Less chilli likha hai! Order copy dikha deta hoon!” He repeated this five times, like a mantra of misery.
We surrendered. Skipped dessert.Paid and Walked out heavy with memories of better nights.
This isn’t a rant—it’s a requiem. For the restaurant we once loved, now buried under onions, peppercorns, and one...
Read moreThe leftover of half of my order was refused to be packed and parcel. This not the first time we are dining at restaurant or do you think we belong from the villages and do not know about what goes around at a restaurant or a hotel. Even five stars do not refuse because food wastage is liked by non. But to my surprise Kurry Pata is okay with throwing away the food but packing it because it’s ‘jhoota’ I want to understand here that who at restaurant orders food and tell them to pack it without touching them ? I mean we have swiggy or zomato for it. Also the waiter didn’t deny us it was someone at the senior management level who was so rude. I will escalate this matter because I feel the disrespect and discrimination was done by some other factors because I saw other tables happily getting their leftovers packed. Also would like to mention that the humble waiter who was attending us packed our parcel at once and handed over. It clearly showcases the discrimination on the part of the senior service management. Shame Kurry Pata just so shameful. Will never...
