Little pleasures is always a pleasure to be at. Your first visit here might feel like taking you to a patisserie in Paris. The display of cake pastries, and their Salve is nothing short of a magnificent French layout. It gives a whole new dimension to the desert scene in Kolkata. I’m here to try their savories which looked pretty decent. What I’ve tried so far is their ice cream the sugar-free Belgian chocolate and it was quite delicious except for the way it served in a messy manner inside a cup, rather than in a rounded of scoop in the cup. Makes it difficult to eat and also causes worse drips. So I would urge them to get the round scooper. I’m very intrigued to try their pistachio and other flavors. Hopefully should happen in my consequent visits. I also tried the dark chocolate almond vanilla filled Choux pastry. It’s quite tiny for two persons but nice with a cup of cappuccino very less sugar good filling, however I feel it was slightly undercooked on the bar part of it. Since I’ve had only two small visits, I will not be able to comment on all other deserts yet. Having said that my 40th birthday cake was ordered from the little pleasures flagship first store in Kolkata. It was absolutely fabulous for the kind of size and consistency it provide provided at a customized level. Since then, I’ve always been thrilled to ordering a couple of their items now and then, however, going to this particular patisserie is a different charm. Ambience can be really amazing as long as there are no kids. Whenever there are kids, they make a huge noise and spoils the demeanor, which is unfortunate but absolutely helpless for both the management as well as other customers. We need to live with it. Getting a table by the window is delightful as you can see the school kids passing cars quite a lovely buzzing Street atmosphere downstairs. High on energy and to get the right sugar rush this place is very highly recommended specially for large orders or even birthday parties. Parking downstairs can be very very easy if you get a spot and it’s completely free of cost however, the guards insist for some parking fees do not fall for it. Also avoid the lift as it’s mostly out of order and can break down in the middle since it’s only one floor simply walk...
Read moreCaramel choux pastry - this was absolutely stunning. Beautiful and flawless both from inside and outside. The first look of the choux pastry is very elegant, a perfect visual treat. The golden macaron shell sits like a crown jewel on top. once you break into the choux the chocolate creme and salted caramel filling comes out. They taste like heaven, and takes you though a beautiful journey through various levels of sweetness and textures. The craquelin on top of the choux is also beautifully done. It was a big surprise to find a dessert with such finesse in Kolkata and that too at an affordable cost considering the quality. This is definitely a must must try!
Korean cream cheese bun - I had really high hopes from this one. But I felt it was a let down. The bun was okayish. The cream cheese in the center was solid ( which was expected. the instructions say you need to pop it in the oven for about a minute or two to get the cream in right consistency) but even after hearing it the cream texture was not that great, it wasn't smooth and silky it was granular and quite sour which didn't have a great mouthfeel. the flavor of parsley was a tad strong for my liking. overall didn't live up to the expectation I had.

Tried a couple of delicacies and loved almost every bite of all the items.. Hands down, certainly the best patisserie in town currently..
Be prepared to go all out with your sweet tooth whenever you enter it's beautifully designed interiors - very classy and gives you a positive vibe instantly.. Will write a detailed review later after tasting quite a few other items..
Visit any one of their two outlets at the very next opportunity - you won't regret a bit for sure.. The price is slightly on the higher end but it's completely worth that extra penny..
Pampering myself with delicious desserts out here gave me unparalleled happiness - hope it does the same for you too..
