So, today we went to the Park Street branch of Machli Baba fries… We were denied any service today - our order was not taken or heard… When we entered, the person who was there said, “we will be late” Upon asking how much time it would take, he rudely replied - “I can’t leave a 10K order and serve you all” Me and my friend were so disappointed and shocked as this statement was something beyond our expectations!! It’s alright to be busy, it’s absolutely alright to be occupied with orders… we get it - but today on the Eve of Akshaya Tritiya such a bad behaviour and unacceptable comment was beyond imagination… Offering water or asking the customer (that’s how I assume a company generates its revenue) to atleast sit… take the order or be a little polite …. If he was closed for taking dine in orders, he could have just mentioned it politely… Frankly speaking, we will remember the behaviour we received and I would not suggest my close ones to go there moving forward… what if they are denied service? Or what if they receive such a behaviour?? May be not “10k worth order”, but we were not just looking forward for a dine in , but also a takeaway for the guests coming over … Would request someone to look into the matter, as today it is me and my friend, tomorrow it can be some other customer… Surely building a restaurant chain requires a lot of hard work and effort, and losing customers like this would not be...

It is also quick because the same is already available in the freezer and they just fry it in the oil bath before handing it over to you, in an attractive packet complete with napkins. The oil in the oil bath is also not smoking and so you get the mental peace that you are eating food that is hygenic; though hygiene may be a much abused word in the whole of the food world in Kolkata and Macchli Baba may not be an exception. Provides a range of items in non...
Read moreI had pre ordered fish chops for tonight December 31st, paid in advance and said I will pick it up at 5:30 pm. Reached the store at 5:30pm and the order was far from ready, in fact the store had no fish chops and said we would need to wait for their truck to come and only then we will be served. This is a typical example of a franchise run by a Bengali entrepreneur this would never happen if it was run by a non Bengali franchise. We just lack serious commitment to business. If Siddhartha Chatterjee is paying any attention to this I suggest he pay some attention to his...
