Went to a fine dining restaurant for the 1st time and let me tell you,the experience was bonkers, all thanks to my big sis' recommendation
The dishes we tried were :-
Pros :-
Cons :-
I had a very ok kind of experience here... Definitely Moomba doesn't match the hype around its name.
You have to win over your customer the moment they step in, that's missing.
They have a nice and interesting mix of fusion and traditional dishes and the taste is good too. Loved the Mushroom Cappuccino (Soup).
They lost points in a few places, like, saying a specific area to be reserved and that they may sit us there in case of cancellation, very odd. In our 2 hours there, no one occupied that area. Maybe the serving staff didn't want to climb up or down the stairs. Bad experience as soon as we stepped in.
Almost every place I've visited offers a little something with the drinks (you are anyways charging 3-4 times the price of the drinks). There's no harm in handing over something to the customers with the drinks which will leave a good taste. Whatever.
Finally, we ordered egg hakka noodles. We asked them about the number of eggs in the dish. 2 they said, we asked them to make it 3. The staff went in and came back saying that the extra egg will cost Rs. 50. Seriously? What are you thinking Moomba? Are you some roadside stall? The dish is seriously coming at a high cost and thereafter a small request from the customer will cost an additional exorbitant price? We have a go ahead anyways. But believe me, the dish which came didn't have more than 2 eggs in it. Even smaller less hyped restaurants make sure to accommodate customer requests. You lost it here.
Ambience and Atmosphere can be improved.
A special thumbs up for the...

We started with the Carrot Potato Leek Soup—rich, comforting, and interactive to pour! The Crispy Sushi Roll was a standout—fresh, crunchy and flavour-packed. The Tandoori Aloo Nazakat was so creative; you'd barely recognise it as potato. Pan-Fried Basa Fish and Rosemary Chicken with Rice made for perfect mains—light yet full of flavour.
Couldn’t resist trying their Classic Margarita Pizza, crisp and smoky straight from the oven. Drinks-wise, the Tikki Nawab cocktail was smoky and theatrical, and the Tamarind drink was a tangy refresher.
Ended the meal with their Signature Coconut Nolen Gur Ice Cream—creamy with a lovely desi twist, and an authentic Tiramisu that nailed it.
Service was polite and quick, ambience chilled yet stylish. Definitely one of the best hangout spots in Park Street, Kolkata. Highly recommend for foodies and Instagram...
