Pronto Gourmet Food — Restaurant in Kolkata

Lovely little place tucked away right off Purna Das Road. Visited with my family of 5 and I must say: Probably the best burger joint I’ve came across in Kolkata.

The ordering experience was smooth, and the waiters were helpful with making the right recommendations. We ordered the chicken terminator burger, a grilled fish with a mustardy-puree with rice, bechamel rice with chicken, veg shroom burger, and a caramelized French toast.

The Chicken Burgers were one of the juiciest i have ever had in this city. With the right amount of crisp on the meat and the perfect blend of sauces, veggies, and the bun. It’s a MUST have here. The Grilled Fish was mouth-watering as well. The consistency was perfect and it just melted right in our mouths. Paired with the rice and the light-mustard puree. Just heavenly.

The Bechamel Rice with Chicken was also top of the table. I did not expect such an amazing burst of flavors. The chicken was very well cooked with a smoky flavor. And the rice with veggies and cheese made a good pair. The cheese was just the right amount. Although, the chicken quantity could be upped.

The Veg Shroom burger, although it was good to the taste. The chicken and the fish got most of my attention.

And lastly the caramelized French toast. If you have space after such a lovely dinner, it is a MUST HAVE. One of the best French toasts I’ve had in the city. It’s a HUGE portion. The crunchiness is perfect on the outside and the softness inside is very well complementing the dish. A very heavy, and beautifully crafted dessert. Amazing!

The ambiance was also a different take when compared to other niche/gourmet restaurants. Very cool and funky, 2000/2010s vibe. With the posters and the spray paints. The music choice, also top notch. Banger after banger old school hits, reminded me of my childhood days of sending music through BT. Very well choice of music.

The one gripe i had at the restaurant was that they did not serve Coke/ThumsUp/Pepsi. Which i feel would have complemented the food very well.

Some #dinners are truly #special and this was certainly one amongst them - when Rajesh Tara da messaged that he is on a short trip to our city of joy and would like to catch up for dinner at any fab food joint - i instantly knew where to take him - I told him that this is the #BEST place in town for #Burgers, #Pizzas, #Ramen for hardcore carnivores like us - where else but #Pronto - i was validated when #Rajesh da uttered in excitement with just that first bite of the burger - "You have transported me to America" and as they say, the rest is history 🕺💯😍

The #HotChocolate they serve is to die for - thick and not too bitter - just the way I love it. We gorged on #PulledPorkBurger (right from the well made barbecued patty to those super soft buns - it was written perfection all over it), #PorkBellyRamen and #PorkChops were the best we both have ever tasted, #ChateaubriandSteak was a masterpiece (this was on an earlier meal out there enjoyed by me). Their #pepperonipizza is something that you shouldn't miss out at any cost - I can challenge you will not get it anywhere better in town 😍

They also offer a generous choice of desserts and yet again, they excel at each one of them - right from #TresLeches, to #BreadPudding to #SizzlingBrownie to #CheeseCake - you cannot miss out on any to be precise - not just the taste but also the plating of every delicacy can give even any five star restaurant stiff competition anyday 💯

No words are enough to praise what a remarkable addition you have done to the #foodscene of #Kolkata - dear Tanuj Sahay - if #MichelinStar existed in Kolkata - Pronto would have been in the list undoubtedly - keep up the impeccable work chef 👏❤️

This was my third time at Pronto in the last 3 months. That itself speaks volumes considering it's so far away from where I live. The food never fails to touch the right spots in my soul! Their Beef Cheeseburger is by far the best burger I've tried of theirs. The bun is freshly baked with a glossy, crispy exterior and a fluffy soft interior. The sauces are perfectly balanced and veggies, bacon and cheese are just right. And the burger pattie....oh my...grilled to perfection with the most incredibly juicy texture and a symphony of flavours! The mastery of flavours and techniques in that burger pattie is mind-boggling. Truly incredible. The other burgers like the GOAT and Hendurance are fantastic too. I just have a personal pull towards the Cheeseburger. The appetizers are pretty amazing too. The shrimp and chicken dynamite are both bomb. Flavours, textures, presentation all impeccably on point. The pulled pork loaded nachos are also definitely a must try! They charge you a premium but do not scrounge when it comes to quality, taste and quantity. The milkshakes and iced teas are pretty good too. Let's not forget how good the service is. All the servers are so well versed with the items on the menu. They describe each item so well and help you choose what's perfect for you with their amazing recommendations. The interiors are very cute and cozy and the beautiful crockery definitely deserves a special mention. Overall...
