I visited this place quite a few times, the food tastes great and the atmosphere is pretty descent... especially they have 2 chambers,1 is non AC and the other one is AC...in this scorching heat the AC chamber seem to be a holy grail 😌.... The service is pretty slow...which is something I want them to improve...like u need to wait for around 20-30mins ...even if u order the hot cakes...but the behaviour of the staff is really good, very warm and friendly. We ordered steamed chicken momo, pan fried pork momo, and mixed thupka for starters...the thukpa tasted heavenly...the broth was soo warm and tasty 🤤...it gives just a cozy warm vibe...then the momos are pretty descent in size, there were 5 of them in each servings ...the steamed one comes with a soup...which doesn't taste well(below average) but the momos are quite juicy and filled with chicken till the brim...the taste was very nice 👍🏻...the sause of the pan fried momos was crazyyyy good ....I have had NVR tasted such a delicious, fingerling sause...it's definitely worth a try...even the pork once were stuffed well too. In the main course we ordered 1 plate of chicken nasi goreng & 1 plate of mixed nasi goreng with BBQ pork(6 pieces )and chilly chicken dry(6 pieces)..nasi goreng is an Indonesian dish...it was my first time to try it..and it didn't disappointed me....it was great in taste...they serve it with raw onions, tomato and cucumber topped with an fried egg...the rice was tossed in a sause which tasted awesome....just loved this dish ...the BBQ pork and the chilly chicken dry tasted delicious too... overall we enjoyed a greattt meal. This place is a must visit...i would definitely recommend it...cause each and every item was extremely tasty the quantity was pretty descent too (easily shareable for 2)and it would definitely satisfy ur Tibetan and Chinese food cravings. But one thing to be kept in mind previously they used to accept online payment...but now they don't...it's just only offline payment that the accept..so plzz...
Read moreIt was one of the catastrophic experience, we ordered chilly chicken, chilly pork, chicken szechuan noddle, chicken fried rice. Szechuan noodle itself is spicy and that's we ordered with the pork it seemed like they've put all the szechuan sauce in our noodle as the noodle was not only extreme spicy but it was painted by the sauce. Chilly chicken and chilly pork seemed like it was swimming in the red sauce and to be honest we can't even make out where is the chicken in the chilly chicken and the pork was not existing as the quantity was the worst. Cold drink (Thumbs-up) was swimming with the ice in itself.
The food was not even the worst part of it, to get our seat for two people we had to wait 30 mins which was understandable as the area is located with a lot of corporate offices and it was lunch time but the behaviour of those waiters treated us as if they are paying us to orders, as the person talking our order was talking to himself and whatever we asked, he simply said we don't have it, mind it this is a place where the momo's are their specialization but there was only one kind of momo and I can't call it a kind because it was only steamed. The guy kept nagging at was because we were talking time to order and why not because every other item on the menu was not available so we had to take time to choose the food. And after we placing the order we had to another 30 mins. I would suggest that if you actually want to eat Chinese food or atleast get the value of your money please don't consider these resturants, they can't provide good food and can't provide...
Read moreI have visited this place before and the service has taken a dip. We ordered Mixed Fried Rice (Chicken Egg Prawn) Special Fried Rice (Pork Chicken Egg Prawn) Chilly Chicken (Gravy) Steamed Momo (With Soup) Let's start with the few lows. There was no social distancing. No temperature were taken, no sanitizer provided. People sat on every table. There weren't enough waiters. The food took a very long time to come, which is generally a sign that everything is made fresh or the staff are lazy. Based on the taste and aroma, I think everything is made from scratch, which is a great thing. If you are ordering the special Fried, PLEASE NOTE tell them not to give you the egg poach and cucumber garnish, it just doesn't fit in with the taste of the dish. The fried rice (both were really awesome) one of the best in Calcutta. The chilly chicken was substandard, the coating of Corn Flower was too thick and it was something any street vendor would serve you better. The momo was really good and soup was ok. We also ordered for 3 cold drinks and total bill was 800 Which isn't too expensive. I hope they iron out a few minor issues, it may not increase their business, as they are already running full most of the times, but it could turn this place into a must visit restaurant in Calcutta. It lacks in decor but it's food and service could take it...
