Artisan - The stylish Parisian Bistro at Sofitel, BKC. Lovely setting serves Exquisite delicacies. They have come up with a new menu last month. Some of the Dishes include Eggs Benedict/Orange and Hazelnut French toast. Mains do try the Duck Confit/New Zealand Lamb Chops. Desserts are amazing - must try the Banana Crepe. Ambiance is eclectic. Features a good range of Wine. Had a chance to Visit the place yesterday to try some dishes from the new menu over a couple of wines and some good Jazz music.

Started with A rose wine followed by a white wine. Coming to the Soup - The all Time Classic FRENCH ONION. Wow, chef has nailed it. Anytime for this. It's a classic made out of either meat stock /Onion. Lovely texture topped with Croutons and cheese and a large piece of bread. Stock was the key. Taste was amazing. Served hot. Got the sweetness of the caramelized onion. Comte melted on top. No complaints.

Salad - small tasting portion of Pear and Arugula Salad. Full marks. Had the flavours. Sweet/tangy at the same time balance of salt from the feta was just perfect. Arugula/Sun dried tomatoes/Walnuts/Balsamic dressing was just perfect. Fresh and perfect. No complaints.

Tapas Section - we asked for One Veg and One Non Veg (small portion)

Veg it was the Mezze which had Hummus/Baba Ganoush and Marinated olives with Pita. Hummus had a good texture. A bit rusty but nice balance of tahini and olive oil. Baba Ganush was made well with a beautiful texture and went well with the Pita. Was a bit disappointed with the Marinated Olives (seem to have lost the firmness) Chef please look into it as pointed out. Overall a good dish for the vegetarian.

New Menu has the SANDWICH section - asked the chef to get one of his Choices. Mumbai Masala it was. The highest selling at Artisan. Grilled to perfection. Potatoes mashed with Mumbai masala. Beet root/tomatoes/Bell pepper and a layer of cheddar cheese melted. Served with French fries. A delight to have this. Tasted good. Not too spicy and overpowering. Just what the 5 star standard needs as per the guests.

Spanish Chicken and Pepper Flautas - Flautas (Spanish for Flutes) it's basically rolled up wheat flour tortillas stuffed with minced chicken with a bit of pepper/oregano. It's like a puff pastry one can call rolled. Topped with avocado and Sour Cream. A bit rich and heavy. Subtle in taste and perfect Tapas. Go for this dish.

Lasagne - a classic Italian dish (pasta) to be served hot. This is baked. We did not go for the Non Vegetarian. Opted for the Veg version which had a stuffing of ratatouille, and vegetables like zucchini/mushrooms/olives topped with cheese. Tasted amazing. This is flat pasta (possibly the oldest of pastas) several layers of lasagne sheets. Tasted good with the Neapolitan sauce. Overall the texture and taste was perfect. Another dish from the new menu.

Desserts - Crepe (Banana) wow this was a killer. Made to perfection. Sprinkle of sugar on top and Blueberry giving that Tangy touch. This was stuffed with caramelised Banana maple syrup. Served with Cream and French exotic Fruits like Kiwi/Plum/Pear. Absolutely divine.

Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla Ice cream and Chocolate sauce- presented well. Not very sweet. I could not try it but heard it was fantastic. Going by my partner's word full marks.

Overall - This place has the class. There is a lovely sitting outside. Unfortunately due to rains we could not enjoy the beautiful outside sitting. Artisan stands out. Overall Winner by miles. Do try out. Do peep in the cigar lounge and get the British...

Thai cuisine is one of my favorite. It's light aromatic, lots of fresh herbs & ingredients are used.. Almost all the herbs have medicinal values. Since very less spices are used These ingredients should be fresh.. In Thai cuisine few authentic ingredients are very important like-

Galangal - a kind of gingerroot Kaffir lime leaves - for refreshing lemony aroma Fish sauce Thai chilli paste - not very pungent but aromatic Carnation milk Coconut milk Straw mushrooms Beans sprouts Peanuts Palm sugar Pandan leaves Lemon graas Coriander roots Thai bird chillies Jasmine rice...

Today was the first Masterclass on Thai cuisine. From now onwards, on every 2nd Saturdays, of every month, different cuisine Masterclass would be held by different famous Chefs..

This place is beautiful positive, lovely herb garden view from the restaurant... Very smart chic Interiors. A nice bakery store Handicrafts store are situated here..

Executive Chef Neeraj Rawoot conducted today's Thai cuisine Master class.. Along with a nice interactive session. Explained in detail about each & every authentic Thai dishes he prepared for the invited guests & food bloggers.. Few foreigners joined the class, they were very keen on each & every ingredients which were used while cooking..

Chef Neeraj is very confident famous Chef, prepared the dishes in the easiest fastest way possible. So that we can easily prepare them at home for our families & friends..

Today's menu had 5 authentic Thai dishes in the Masterclass Chef Neeraj & his team of Chefs created all these masterpieces for the guests & food bloggers within 2 hours & served us after each & every dishes were prepared..

The menu - Tom Yum Goong - He prepared 2 variations of these soups at the same time One is clear soup based, another one is cloudy... It's spicy prawn & lemongrass soup

Gai Ping - Thai grilled chicken skewers. Boneless chicken pieces were used, Chef called a blogger to help him, to make the event more interesting.. Marinated small chicken pieces are used, saved along with a dipping sauce

Phad Thai - one of the most popular Thai dish. Rice noodles cooked with hard vegetables, blanche prawns, fried tofu, beans sprout, scrambled eggs, garnished with crushed peanuts & lemon wedges.

Graphao Tohu -stir fried silken tofu with Thai bird chilli, long beans, mushroom, long beans, sliced babycorn, fresh basil leaves from their own herb garden Served hot with Jasmine rice..

Khao Neaow Mamuang - fresh ripe mangoes with sticky coconut rice, prepared by coconut cream, palm sugar, pandan leaves, toasted sesame seeds.. While serving the dish, coconut milk was poured over ...

They are very organised. We got printed menus Certificates for attending, Beyond Thai Curries, Sofitel's Culinary Masterclass And a lovely Group photoshoot with the chef...

Visited artisans on Saturday afternoon for a brunch , Artisans is Located with in sofitel at Bandra kurla complex beside to Trident hotel,

Artisan is designed amidst an enchanting Parisian setting and serves exquisite delicacies . The outlet was very cosy, ambience and interior was vibrant well decorated . The outlet has been known for its changing avatar with a communal table, Art Deco chandeliers, all-day service, jazz evenings, cozy seating for both business meetings and casual rendezvous.

Bandra kurla complex has alot offer not only it is a commercial hub but also consist of amazing restaurants and hotels like MasalaLibray, Soda bottle openerwala ,Trident and many more .

‎The staff were well trained and efficient and they are very polite , helpful and approachable. The infrastructure was very extensive occupying a large number of guests .

The bars was fully stacked up with domestic and imported alcohol with a massive and extensive Bar area with huge collections of wine from all over the world

We Ordered Mumbai styled grilled sandwich Grilled crunchy bread filled within with well cooked mashed potatoes, mint chutney, cheese and veggies paired with fries.

French toast This french toast surely are a perfect morning kickstarter. Freshly prepared pan fried French toast stuffed with nutella , marmalade dipped in their signature batter topped with icing sugar and served along with maple sauce and whipped cream.

Farm house pizza Freshly baked Italian style hand tossed thin crust pizza topped with ample of amount of Goat cheese and mozzarella cheese to calm down your Cheese cravings , topped with artichoke, mushroom sun-dried tomatoes &rucola

Muselli Parfait Muesli Parfait is perfect solution that meets all my needs. It is filling and has everything in it to make it a nutritious well balanced meal.  Nicely prepared

The outlet was very cosy, ambience and interior was vibrant well decorated . The outlet has been known for its changing avatar with a communal table, Art Deco chandeliers, all-day service, jazz evenings, cozy seating for both business meetings and casual rendezvous. Bandra kurla complex has alot offer not only it is a commercial hub but also consist of amazing restaurants and hotels like MasalaLibray, Soda bottle openerwala ,Trident and many more . ‎The staff were well trained and efficient and they are very polite , helpful and approachable. The infrastructure was very extensive occupying a large number of guests . The bars was fully stacked up with domestic and imported alcohol with a massive and extensive Bar area with huge collections of wine from all over the world We Ordered Mumbai styled grilled sandwich Grilled crunchy bread filled within with well cooked mashed potatoes, mint chutney, cheese and veggies paired with fries. French toast This french toast surely are a perfect morning kickstarter. Freshly prepared pan fried French toast stuffed with nutella , marmalade dipped in their signature batter topped with icing sugar and served along with maple sauce and whipped cream. Farm house pizza Freshly baked Italian style hand tossed thin crust pizza topped with ample of amount of Goat cheese and mozzarella cheese to calm down your Cheese cravings , topped with artichoke, mushroom sun-dried tomatoes &rucola Muselli Parfait Muesli Parfait is perfect solution that meets all my needs. It is filling and has everything in it to make it a nutritious well balanced meal.  Nicely prepared Desserts (Most Recommended) Macarons Mouse chocolate

Artisan - The stylish Parisian Bistro at Sofitel, BKC. Lovely setting serves Exquisite delicacies. They have come up with a new menu last month. Some of the Dishes include Eggs Benedict/Orange and Hazelnut French toast. Mains do try the Duck Confit/New Zealand Lamb Chops. Desserts are amazing - must try the Banana Crepe. Ambiance is eclectic. Features a good range of Wine. Had a chance to Visit the place yesterday to try some dishes from the new menu over a couple of wines and some good Jazz music. Started with A rose wine followed by a white wine. Coming to the Soup - The all Time Classic FRENCH ONION. Wow, chef has nailed it. Anytime for this. It's a classic made out of either meat stock /Onion. Lovely texture topped with Croutons and cheese and a large piece of bread. Stock was the key. Taste was amazing. Served hot. Got the sweetness of the caramelized onion. Comte melted on top. No complaints. Salad - small tasting portion of Pear and Arugula Salad. Full marks. Had the flavours. Sweet/tangy at the same time balance of salt from the feta was just perfect. Arugula/Sun dried tomatoes/Walnuts/Balsamic dressing was just perfect. Fresh and perfect. No complaints. Tapas Section - we asked for One Veg and One Non Veg (small portion) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Veg it was the Mezze which had Hummus/Baba Ganoush and Marinated olives with Pita. Hummus had a good texture. A bit rusty but nice balance of tahini and olive oil. Baba Ganush was made well with a beautiful texture and went well with the Pita. Was a bit disappointed with the Marinated Olives (seem to have lost the firmness) Chef please look into it as pointed out. Overall a good dish for the vegetarian. New Menu has the SANDWICH section - asked the chef to get one of his Choices. Mumbai Masala it was. The highest selling at Artisan. Grilled to perfection. Potatoes mashed with Mumbai masala. Beet root/tomatoes/Bell pepper and a layer of cheddar cheese melted. Served with French fries. A delight to have this. Tasted good. Not too spicy and overpowering. Just what the 5 star standard needs as per the guests. Spanish Chicken and Pepper Flautas - Flautas (Spanish for Flutes) it's basically rolled up wheat flour tortillas stuffed with minced chicken with a bit of pepper/oregano. It's like a puff pastry one can call rolled. Topped with avocado and Sour Cream. A bit rich and heavy. Subtle in taste and perfect Tapas. Go for this dish. Lasagne - a classic Italian dish (pasta) to be served hot. This is baked. We did not go for the Non Vegetarian. Opted for the Veg version which had a stuffing of ratatouille, and vegetables like zucchini/mushrooms/olives topped with cheese. Tasted amazing. This is flat pasta (possibly the oldest of pastas) several layers of lasagne sheets. Tasted good with the Neapolitan sauce. Overall the texture and taste was perfect. Another dish from the new menu. Desserts - Crepe (Banana) wow this was a killer. Made to perfection. Sprinkle of sugar on top and Blueberry giving that Tangy touch. This was stuffed with caramelised Banana maple syrup. Served with Cream and French exotic Fruits like Kiwi/Plum/Pear. Absolutely divine. Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla Ice cream and Chocolate sauce- presented well. Not very sweet. I could not try it but heard it was fantastic. Going by my partner's word full marks. Overall - This place has the class. There is a lovely sitting outside. Unfortunately due to rains we could not enjoy the beautiful outside sitting. Artisan stands out. Overall Winner by miles. Do try out. Do peep in the cigar lounge and get the British Feel. Cheers.

GM - Mr Biswajit Chakraborty, Executive Chefs Team of Chefs, visiting Chefs, managers, staffs, PR team- all work as a dedicated team... Today was the first Masterclass on Thai cuisine. From now onwards, on every 2nd Saturdays, of every month, different cuisine Masterclass would be held by different famous Chefs.. This place is beautiful positive, lovely herb garden view from the restaurant... Very smart chic Interiors. A nice bakery store Handicrafts store are situated here.. Executive Chef Neeraj Rawoot conducted today's Thai cuisine Master class.. Along with a nice interactive session. Explained in detail about each & every authentic Thai dishes he prepared for the invited guests & food bloggers.. Few foreigners joined the class, they were very keen on each & every ingredients which were used while cooking.. Chef Neeraj is very confident famous Chef, prepared the dishes in the easiest fastest way possible. So that we can easily prepare them at home for our families & friends.. Today's menu had 5 authentic Thai dishes in the Masterclass Chef Neeraj & his team of Chefs created all these masterpieces for the guests & food bloggers within 2 hours & served us after each & every dishes were prepared.. The menu - Tom Yum Goong - He prepared 2 variations of these soups at the same time One is clear soup based, another one is cloudy... It's spicy prawn & lemongrass soup Gai Ping - Thai grilled chicken skewers. Boneless chicken pieces were used, Chef called a blogger to help him, to make the event more interesting.. Marinated small chicken pieces are used, saved along with a dipping sauce Phad Thai - one of the most popular Thai dish. Rice noodles cooked with hard vegetables, blanche prawns, fried tofu, beans sprout, scrambled eggs, garnished with crushed peanuts & lemon wedges. Graphao Tohu -stir fried silken tofu with Thai bird chilli, long beans, mushroom, long beans, sliced babycorn, fresh basil leaves from their own herb garden Served hot with Jasmine rice.. Khao Neaow Mamuang - fresh ripe mangoes with sticky coconut rice, prepared by coconut cream, palm sugar, pandan leaves, toasted sesame seeds.. While serving the dish, coconut milk was poured over ... They are very organised. We got printed menus Certificates for attending, Beyond Thai Curries, Sofitel's Culinary Masterclass And a lovely Group photoshoot with the chef...
