Looking for a venue in BKC for lunch with cousins, Capital Social was something of a no-brainer, being very close to my location, and also because one of my cousins was yet to visit a Socials outlet. We walked into a small but comfortable and airy space, with the typical rustic Socials look. The table and the couch were quite roomy, though the backrest was short and non functional. We opened our account with Deconstructed Moscow Mule, Captain Palak and Blueberry Pancakes. The pancakes took a while to turn up, a recurring theme with most of our orders. The drink and our first starter was thankfully served without much delay. The vodka based cocktail had a nice ginger after taste, and the starter didn't disappoint either, the fried green vegetable going really well with all the chaat ingredients as well as curd, having a sweet taste overall. The pancakes, when they finally arrived, were fluffy, the maple syrup wasn't overly sweet, so we at least got our wait's worth. Up next were Fully Loaded Nachos and Sausage Fest, the latter being of the pork variety. The nachos were above average in my opinion, being prepared with inadequate cheese, and the chips as well as the beans being the saving grace. The sausages were a pure delight, the red meat was cooked to perfection, a must-have in my opinion. Also a shoutout to the accompanying mashed potato, I thoroughly loved it, one of the best I've had. My next drink was CCCP, a concoction of Captain Morgan, cranberry juice, cinnamon and pomegranate juice, hence the name. It was another hit, very much up with Social's high standards when it comes to cocktails. We next opted for Cajun Roast Chicken, which was below par, both quantity and quality wise. The plate contained more greenery than poultry, and the meat was quite stiff as well. Full On Falooda and Chocolate Blood Bath were the desserts we chose to round off our meal. The former, served with malai kulfi, was more of basundi than falooda, and we had no complaints at all with that. The basundi was thick, the kulfi was creamy, and the jelly dipped in the basundi only enhanced the dessert. Therefore the other dessert had big shoes to fill, and boy did it do so. Cake, brownie, fudge, ice-cream, mousse, sauce, all of it in chocolate format made for a heavenly treat, I highly recommend it. To sum up then, Capital Social has more hits than misses, the drinks and desserts being particularly fantastic. My only gripe being the painfully lethargic service, be it placing an order or merely asking for water, it took forever to get the task done, as the staff was either nowhere to be seen (inspite of it being a non busy afternoon) or simply had little attention towards the customers. The attendants had the hashtag ASAP printed on the back of their uniforms, I guess it stands for As Slow As Possible. If they were to sort out the sluggish service, I would be happy to give a 5...

I recently had the opportunity to delve into the social capital of Mumbai, and the experience left me with a profound understanding of the city’s vibrant social fabric.

Mumbai, often referred to as the “City of Dreams,” boasts a diverse and dynamic social landscape. The city thrives on its people, and social capital plays a pivotal role in shaping its character. From bustling street markets to tight-knit communities, Mumbai’s social capital is a fascinating tapestry.

One notable aspect is the strong sense of community in residential neighborhoods. I observed residents actively engaging in communal events, fostering a supportive environment. This communal spirit not only enhances social bonds but also contributes to a collective identity that defines each locality.

Furthermore, Mumbai’s social capital is evident in its myriad cultural celebrations. The city hosts a plethora of festivals where people from different backgrounds come together to celebrate diversity. These events serve as platforms for social interaction, breaking down barriers and fostering unity among the city’s residents.

On the flip side, the fast-paced urban lifestyle has also led to the emergence of virtual communities. Social media platforms and online forums have become integral in connecting Mumbaikars. These digital spaces facilitate the exchange of ideas, information, and support, contributing significantly to the city’s social capital in the digital age.

In conclusion, Mumbai’s social capital is multifaceted, reflecting the city’s rich tapestry of cultures and communities. From traditional neighborhood bonds to modern digital connections, the social capital of Mumbai is a dynamic force that shapes the city’s identity and resilience. Exploring this aspect provides valuable insights into the heart of Mumbai’s...

Reservation of tables is not available at this place and it's really based on when you visit and how many tables are available at the moment. High raise chairs for a table of two and low regular table for groups and easily fits around 6 people in it Sanitizer and tissues available in each table There's a big space for bar serving almost all popular brands and smoking is prohibited Ordering is through QR code where you can place multiple orders. You get updates about your order on your WhatsApp. Finally the bill payment is also online. There is both veg and nonveg options available Light music playing in background really elevates the experience. There's also TV at one end of the wall and a projector at th other end and was playing IPL cricket match at the time of visit. There are some antique meters and oth r vehicle related objects that decorte the wall and provides a slick feeling The food was very good and it is given in large quantities, for example, even if you order a soup, beware that a single serving here gives you 3 full bowls of soup, so order accordingly. Starters are like any other restaurants except for Double Grilled Naga Chilli Cheese Toast which can be quite filling. Other mai course items like thali or noodles are also given in large quantities and can become a Lil too much if you have had starters before, so plan and order carefully. Serving here is a Lil late, they take at least 20mins for the simplest of the items. So make sure you have plenty of time available before you...

Vibe: This hip hangout & workspace with an arty vibe is one of the smallest Socials in Mumbai. The eatery has extremely restricted seating limit yet the stylistic layout is very lively and alluring. Food: With restricted food choices on the menu, the place is good for munchies and drinks with your buddies. Here is my take on the food: 1. Peri Peri Chicken Sizzler: Grilled Chicken in peri peri accompanied with rice and wok tossed veggies. The dish was somewhat zesty yet was the star of the day. Chicken was impeccably barbecued - not very chewy and not very difficult to cut. Rating: 4/5 2. Butter Garlic Prawns: This is my go to dish in any eatery. I've been baffled with the dish at many places yet the butter garlic prawns at socials were truly stunning. Pieces of prawns tossed in creamy butter garlic sauce and veggies hit the right notes. The quantity was enough for two. Rating: 4/5 3. Minced Chicken Baida Roti: Baida Roti is an iconic street food of Mumbai and I anticipated it to be good at socials. Chicken was very much cooked and it had the taste yet the baida roti could've been more crispier. It got mushier as the dish turned cold and adhered to the butter paper. Rating: 3/5 Service: Service is extraordinary and quick. The servers know pretty much everything about the menu and are extremely well mannered. The spot likewise follows all the Coronavirus protocols besides from temperature checks.
