CinCin is right in the middle of two absolute beasts of this Industry i.e.Yauatcha (No introduction needed - Chinese dim sum tea house) and Nara Thai (Pioneers of Thai cuisine). Well that just lits up the entire area because you have crowd coming in for all the 3 in the same vicinity. They have an outdoor area which is just beside Nara Thai’s outdoor area (kind of different but sort of same) and also an inner space which was almost fully occupied and quite decent. We chose to sit outside since the city was drenched in rains and had the perfect atmosphere to have a crack at some feisty food.
A) Mezzi Rigatoni (4 on a scale of 5):
Well this was suppose to be in a spicy Arrabbiata sauce and it was quite mild and not feisty at all. The Spaghetti was a little under cooked and not even al dente. But the sauce was quite delicious that discounted the undercooked spaghetti. The portion size was quite a let down. It isn’t sufficient for one bloke, forget about sharing !
The service was quite average. There wasn’t any efforts taken in to explain and seek preferences and suggest as per our liking for a tailor-made experience. Infact, the menu rushed on our table after a while. Not everyone is well versed with Italian food and I feel the staff should put in more efforts to deliver the perfect dish as per customer preferences. The place has good levels of safety protocols and maintains highest standard of hygiene since its in an upscale neighbourhood. Also they charged us service charges in the bill which was removed only when we asked them to take it down.
A) Pro’s:
It is right in the middle of a fashionable district like Bandra and hence the vibe, crowd and the place just oozes class. The pasta was quite a unique creation and the flavours were spot on.
B) Con’s:
The F&B were decent but they need to step up their game in portion size and customised customer experience. Also, as per the honourable Supreme Court judgement wrt to service charges, it cannot be levied on the bill prima face. This practice of adding it in the bill and then removing it later if someone points out is just bad faith. The prices overall will burn a hole in your wallet and not even satisfy...
