China Gate Juhu — Restaurant in Mumbai

Went to this nicely spaced resturant which has the Indo Chinese feel yet not on the face but very subtly kept just like the food. Ordered Tom Yum soup which was very refreshing due to the lemon grass with chicken and vegetables in a light broth. Next came the appetiser - Roasted Chicken with Burnt Garlic & Onion that was served on a sizzled platter, loved every bite, so ordered it twice; also a great accompaniment with beverage or even the chicken fried rice - so light and comforting - just the way we like. The improvised kimchi with mustard flavour yet with a light tangy taste was beautifully balanced - such an amazing pallete cleanser. The Pink Day mocktail was also refreshing. So today I went with my family the third time just because we really like the food and the last time that we had come my father and husband had fallen sick due to their AC being strong I thought maybe the table we were seating was strong so today as we entered I requested them to make us sit in a table where th AC doesn’t hit directly on our faces. It was to worst experience ever they didn’t care at all their AC was blasting it was at 5 degrees and blasting in our faces again I requested several times to increase the temperatures but the restaurant manager kept saying we can’t do anything is central AC within minutes my nose started running and I got felt terribly sick due to their AC I left my food in the middle they didn’t care at all to loose customers. Unethically making money by charging service charges.

Rs 1260 @ 6% service charge on total bill of Rs. 23,379 taken though it's not mandatory as per rules. When highlighted same the restaurant incharge was very adamant and rude and dint gave revised bill even after saying for 4-5 times.

Top of it half cooked 9 portions of 3 chicken starters I. E. Lemon grilled chicken, thread chicken and grilled chicken burnt onion garlic were served. Again on highlighting the same, restaurant manager dint had courtesy and basic hospitality to serve proper cooked dishes.

Pathetic restaurant management and looting money (saying this word as unethically charging and forcefully adding service charge).

Highly highly highly NOT RECOMMENDING this restaurant. Very unpleasant...
