Flag's Restaurant Liberty Garden Malad — Restaurant in Mumbai

Before last visit, my experience with Flags was truly good. But, following incidences made my outlook changed for this restaurant completely. I’m a regular patron of the restaurant past 3 years. In my last visit, there’s a senior waiter named Atul or Ajay with elderly look serviced us throughout the dinner. The service was too slow, as it was weekend & hell lot of pressure on the staff. So I didn’t mind it much. But, does it take a great effort to fill up a glass of water once in a while? The ventilation was also inadequate. I asked the waiters thrice to put air condition on swing to get ease from the sizzling fumes from the neighboring tables. When I asked for lasagna, he literally avoid it with no apparent hesitation. In fact, when I said that why lasagna is mentioned in the menu, he gave rolling eye look. Is it too tough to be polite & accept the unavailability of the order? Disappointed with it, we ordered pink pasta which was not pink at all! Although, it was tasty, but I didn’t get what I ordered for. But definitely I got charged. I didn’t even oppose considering the conceiting attitude of the waiter. He was being too pushy for mocktails which we were not really interested into! The worse has yet to come… There was an offer to get complimentary chocolate pie or chocolate ice-cream to those who like their social media pages & share review on Zomato. I followed all the rules but I didn’t get anything. The fellow waiters asked Mr. Ajay to give us the complimentary dessert but he denied it in front of us rudely! The gesture I appreciated a lot, when they gave a piece of pineapple cake to us as complimentary since we were celebrating the B’day. The waiter considered it in the same complimentary dessert to be given after following them on social media! The worst has come now… After completing dinner, I paid through card & during which he asked for the tip. I usually never give tip to any waiter. As, to do the job, they’re getting paid just like we all do. The deliberate approach compelled me to give tip. Then, I gave just 5 rs. in the tip to indicate my discontent about the service & the waiter’s attitude. After seeing this he literally shouted aloud saying they gave 5 rs. tip! It was clearly audible to the ones who were having dinner with us, guest on neighboring tables & other fellow waiters. It was quite disrespectful attitude especially when it comes to hospitality. No waiter should force their customers to give them tip & make them feel scorned for not giving them tip; especially, when you’re serving badly how possibly could you expect that! Flags a casual dine located at Malad west at 10 min walking distance from Malad Railway station. From 13 years They are in business and they have established very well. They are Prominent name among locals and have introduced new cuisine to the locality. Interior and ambience is good and hygienic. Thai Curry & Fried Thai Rice Dominated with coconut flavor is served with green curry with a spice hint and (Recommended)

The ambience is very good. Liked the service, food tastes good actually it's amazing. Worth spending money there. But Very first time I tried this restaurant, We ordered Sizzler And I hope this would be an exclusive event that happened with us that we found stapler pin in food, asked for the replacement of the whole food. Now the waiter who got the replacement got the fresh food but without bread, when I asked this is not the whole his reaction was "that you guys had already eaten it if you want we can get you bread as well". I don't expect to be treated in a restaurant where they would risk us first with the food, and later make us feel that we are getting food for free though we are actually paying for it, they just got us the replacement which is edible to have. Also the restaurant can work on waiter not continuously poking to order something more. Giving options/opinion without being asked for is not a good gesture is what I think.
