Hello and welcome back to my food review.Hope everyone is doing great. This time around i went to phoenix lower parek on friday and i visited this place.Had heard a lot about hitchki and considering they have multiple outlets in mumbai we thought of trying it.
Beverages :-
Minions Mocktail:-
Its their best seller here with a classic combo of gauva, watermelon and ss mixed well with the perfect blend of ice.Served thick sweet and refreshing.
Falooda oh Falooda :- First impression WOWWOW.Its a huge and literally beautifully presented mocktail which is a combination of kesar pista kulfi on top, vermicelli, rose syrup and lots of milkmaid. The drink itself is so wonderful to watch.Taste wise its hands down one of the best falooda i had. P.S: Its quite heavy so you can have it as your dessert as well.Awesome it is.
Aatmanirbhar Cocktail:- This is their patent which is like served on a platter with vodka, gin, whisky, tequila all served along with small pieces of pineapple cut in a glass. Its so beautifully presented that you actually make your own drink. The white ice is a cherry on the top as it gives the exotic feel and view while making the drink.
Food and Desserts:-
2)Nan khol ke sun lo:- This is again very well presented as they served fresh made paneer tikka in any of the option we need(malai, reshmi, pahadi). Their presentation is also different as they serve it wrapped in a garlic naan and it hanged in a hanger and a plate.Full marks for the presentation. Taste is also superb since the paneer was very soft and i had opted for the pahadi option. For any vegetarian this is a go to starter.
Harry Pot Rice:- This option was suggested to me since i had asked them for something in rice. This is also widely ordered it seems since its a nice mix of rice with lots and lots of veggies from broccoli, babycorn, mushrooms, cauliflower etc mixed and tossed with the classic hong kong sauce. Coming to the taste its a go to dish i feel if you like something in rice with a tinge of chinese style. This can be a go to dish for any veggies and rice lover.
Chicken potli biryani:- Finally i ordered the chicken biryani which was served in a potli. The chicken biryani is packed and rolled in a potli which is actually like a roomali roti. Once you open you can smell the freshness in it with nicely cooked and marinated chicken pieces along with basmati rice. The taste is perfect like anyone would want with a chicken biryani.Worth the taste.
moong bharo sajna Moong dal halwa ciagrs and shahi tukda rolls.
This is again a fushion dessert which i could never imagine. It was moon dal halwa which was rolled in a cigar and stuffed in and served like a shahi tukda. Generally you have moong dal halwa and shahi tukda seperately right. This is a unique and a killer dish wherein you feel you have a bite of shahi tukda but inside you will feel moong dal halwa stuffed. Wowo i mean the shahi tukda and rabdi on top is just heaven and i must say it looks only 3 piece but its very heavy and yummy.
Verdict:- If you are in phoenix lower parel then there are lot of places to eat.But i would suggest for the quality and pricing and the taste hitchki does stand out from the rest. They have multiple options across different cuisines and i actually loved their concept of fushion in many of their dishes. They have multiple outlets in mumbai also But all in all this outlet in lower parel is a must visit if you are anytime in pheonix lower parel mall.

Read moreHitchki this time as well surely hits the Bollywood theme with its elaborative menu coming up fancy Bollywood names for food dishes and drinks. Every dish here reminds of you some or the other famous Bollywood dialogues. Apart from the dishes/drinks being presentable they do live up with the quality as well. I’m sure hitchki will soon come up with another branch somewhere in this island city. Fingers crossed!!
Food:
Pacchas Tola – Asli Sona it is…. tender tandoori chicken leg piece coated with edible gold served along with Naan. Taste is mildly spicy so good for all palates. Also loved the presentation of the entire dish with the leg piece getting center attraction rest all tucked inside pockets of the black box.
Seekh ka Baap – Huggeeeeeeee!!! Cooked to perfection I would say not falling apart while we were segregating it. Balance of spices was up to the mark.
Aate Jate Truffle Pate – This burger has its own personality in terms of fluffiness and freshness of the brioche bun. Chicken patty was tender and marinated with spices.
Hows the Josh – Totally high Sir!! Initially I had doubts on the mutton pieces but surprisingly they were amazing in taste and easy to chew. Gravy was also not over spiced making it a happy ending for the mains
Hamari Mango Puri Karo – When the mango season is here how could we ditch this dessert. It had mango cheesecake, mango toffy, aamras, dried mango squash and mango ice cream. Hamari mange puri hogayi
Drinks:
Aatmanirbhar – Feels like a bartender here preparing it and drinking it yourself…total drama on the table adding liquor one after the another. It had gin, vodka, rum, red bull, freshly cut fruits and nitrogen gas. Somehow, I felt it wasn’t that strong to give you that tipsy feeling. Well, it was my take on this.
Lollyta – Well this drink is more chilled !! as it has that Mango candy dipped inside along with white rum, strawberry puree, mint. Presentation wise yes it looks unique as most of the times we find cocktail glass has that inverted beer/red bull can placed.
Khulla Sand – Aahhhhh this drink as the name says roaming bull – come get me if you can. Potent concoction of liquor here as we felt a bit tipsy after finishing this one.
Kyonki Irani bhi kabhi tulsi thi – This one takes you back to the old soaps airing on tv channels…though it is on the lighter side not so strong not so mild but quite refreshing for such summer afternoons
Ambience – Personally I felt this hitchki outlet is smaller than the other once in the city. Here the center of attraction is their well-lit bar as we stepped inside and in evenings dj setup takes the control. Seating is comfortable and you get a whole lot of options to choose from be it high chair, comfy sofas etc.
Service – Our attendant Mr. Cajetan was quite conversant with the dishes and drinks which made our afternoon easier to choose from their best in the menu
