I and a colleague of mine had been consciously trying to avoid fried food. We were, after a tiring day of work, super tempted to eat something delicious and while searching for healthy dining options we landed on the newyork burritos page and I am absolutely glad to say that it was a pleasure dining at this place. The outlet is exacts next to the famous pure milk centre. We started off our meal inside the cafe and towards the end we ended up moving outside in the alfresco section and it was really pleasant to sit there with the breeze and other things! The service at this outlet is super quick.
Given below is a list of recipes we tried at this ghatkopar outlet. We have arranged them as per our tastemeter, BEST ONES FIRST :
Regular Nachos (179+9rs gst) :any of us experience at a lot of cafes and multiplexes that the folks at the restaurants open up a bag of store bought nachos (which are even fried sometimes) and serve them with their inhouse cheese dips and sauces! At Newyork Burritos it wasn't the case. Nachos were absolutely baked and the salsa sauce, capsicum dip and cheese (especially the green capsicum dip) multiplied the taste of the nachos manifold and made them taste very chat-like!
Mexican Paneer Bowl (249 + 13rs gst) : The Mexican paneer bowl has about 10% to 15% rice at its base, a lot of baked beans, medium sized cubes of plain paneer, salsa sauce, cheese (both grated and melted), onions, lettuce and a little mustard sauce.
Quesadilla (179rs + 9rs gst) : Quesadillas are similar to stuffed parathas and the stuffing is usually baked beans, salsa sauce, a few veggies(usually corn and capsicum) and a lot of cheese... Sometimes they taste good of they are crispy! Here, the Quesadillas weren't flaky or crispy. We were served 3 pieces of them . The stuffing was slightly less than one would expect but they did make for a filling meal for an adult with a moderate appetite.
We skipped the desserts and drinks totally but in the past I have tried their cucumber and mint cooler and that's a good buy , especially if you get it as a part of. Combo!
Will we revisit NewYork Burritos? : A big yes for the nachos even though we find the quantity slightly, just slightly disappointing. Also a yes for the...

We visited the newly opened Ghatkopar Outlet which is sandwiched between Pure Milk Center and Oasiss Desserts on Vikrant Circle. This outlet has 3 tables with outdoor seating available, easy to accommodate 12-13 people indoor and 7-10 people in the outdoor section.
Staff at the outlet were extremely helpful to recommend us the dishes and the food was served super duper quick, like Godspeed quick, I really mean it.
Anyway, let’s start with what we had:
• Burrito - Paneer : 5/5
Wheat tortilla is filled with goodness of freshly cut onions, tomatoes and their ever so refreshing salsa with cheese sauce, beans, lettuce and beans.
Each bite was filled with deliciousness as you could taste each and every ingredient mentioned above and since it’s filled with healthy ingredients, you can eat it as a meal replacement food instead of your regular franky.
• Tacos - 4/5
Crispy tacos are filled with lettuce, cheese sauce, freshly cut onions & tomatoes, Salsa, beans and loaaaaaaaads of cheeeeeese.
Taco was crunchy, but not too crunchy which would take away the joy of enjoying the ingredients above and it had the perfect amount of thickness which would hold the ingredients without breaking down or getting soggy +1 for that.
• Nachos - 4/5
Your classic nachos topped with freshly cut onions & tomatoes, fresh salsa, beans and cheese sauce. Each and every piece of nachos had the above mentioned ingredients and it was delightful to finally eat a nachos where the toppings are generously put.
• Dragonfruit Lemonade - 4/5
Wait, what? A Dragonfruit Lemonade, is that even a thing?
This was my reaction when I saw it on the menu and that’s when I decided to try it right away!
It was basically a Dragonfruit Juice with a zing of Lemonade and the best part about it was that it did not have any additional sugar added to it which makes it an appealing drink.
• Conclusion •
We loved what we had over here and you can definitely try the above listed dishes without a...
Read moreNew York Burrito has always been a pleasurable experience when it comes to cravings for freshly made Mexican food. Scored a takeaway from Ghatkopar outlet yesterday evening and I couldn't believe they handed me my food in less than 15 minutes which is commendable amidst evening rush of online orders. Staff also took care of everything with a healthy smile on their face, from my Jain customizations to making sure that my food is a perfect experience for me.
I ordered some of my personal favourites on their menu, Soft Tacos, Jain Mexican Pizza, Jain Quesadillas and two of their coolers Hibiscus Mint Lemonade and Dragon Fruit Lemonade. I was full from Tacos and Pizza but still finished everything because the food was so effing tasty.
Mexican Pizza: Crispy tortillas topped with savory toppings like refried beans and fresh proprietary sauces and the three-cheese blend special sauce. Gawd! Even writing this description is so hard for me because I can't forget how the Pizza felt on my tastebuds, yummm!
Soft Tacos: Wrapped in soft tortillas is a perfect blend of fajitas, tex- mex veggies some crunchy lettuce topped with beans, cheese, some chipotle mayo and 100% haas guacamole. It tasted amazing!
Jain Quesadillas: Quesadillas with lot of beans, a lot of cheese with fresh veggies, and in house spices. Delectable!
And now comes my most favourite item from the menu, their coolers: Dragon Fruit Lemonade was a blend of fresh dragon fruit, lemon & chopped mint leaves and Hibiscus Mint Lemonade was a blend of Hibiscus flower and mint that gives a slightly sweet and beautiful bright red steep. It is a soothing quencher. Trust me I was asking for more of these but settled with two.
All in all NYBC is a lovely place to eat at and I would not stop you from trying it...
