Let me tell you a little story about a pizza loving mom-son duo..
It all began with me trying to find a new (to me) pizza restaurant that tossed up a decent pizza. It didn’t take too long to find pleo offering a considerable discount on swiggy dineout. The next thing i know is talking with Sunita the hostess about needing to reserve a table since it was a saturday eve. I was told the inside was completely booked and could start outside and would be shifted inside if there were any cancellations. I took the risk and went there on time to be surprised to find out that there was a table inside that was available! Thank you Sunita, i really appreciate that. You were very gracious and did your job well. Although, id like to know, how come, during my entire mealtime, i never saw the restaurant completely occupied?? (You did mention you were booked out!!?)
The ambiance, from the entrance to the restrooms was very well thought. Lived the pebble-stone entrance where a kind lady was prompt in opening the door to usher ourselves in. I did bump my head on the oversized leaning tower of kettle, cups and saucers to my left on my way in. Silly me, i was in awe of the ambiance. The see through kitchen to my right and spacious table arrangements in my entire field of vision, a mix of large and two-seaters. The stone block flooring was just like in Italy.
The Menu was a little square placard that needed to be scanned. Why? Why leave the menu out of your fantastic design sense? The one most important piece of paper, i think, should always be physically present in any restaurant. At least one copy for a millennial like me.
Our Server, Sahil was quick and courteous and made good recommendations on what to order for drinks and food. The candle was lit inside of minutes of being seated, only to be doused by the strong cold draft of the air conditioner directed directly in our direction. It was re-lit and since we were freezing in that draft, Sahil managed to up the temperature by a couple of degrees, the strength of the draft remained as it was.
The virgin drinks arrived on time, a fresh-lime soda and passiflora which i found was a tiny bit too sour. It was delicious. The table kept rocking evertine we set our drinks on table or even rest our hands on it. Turned out, the heavy iron stem was loose at the top of the iron base. It did bother us so I had to get Sahil involved in rectifying it but to no avail. It was heavy and I ran out of ideas and I didnt want to leave the table either. After a quick apology from Sahil, we decided to make our peace with it. I hope it was corrected after we left, no one enjoys eating on a rocking table.
The following course arrived too which included a trufle miso and shitake sushi and a chicken caesar salad. Both very well presented, i loved the salad although i prefer the crunchy iceberg lettuce in it. I do want to know what that little yellow garnish leaf resting on white sauce was made of!? After a quick mix, i did try to find it but seemed to have melted away! Parmigiano reggiano in it did the trick for me.
My pizza order was predetermined, a pepperoni pie for myself and wild mushroom pizza with stracciatella cheese for mom. The pizzaiolo must’ve been overwhelmed with orders but the long wait for them was worth every bit. One of the perfectly soft hand pressed crust cooked in wood fire complemented by the most delicious san marzano (I assume) sauce and pepperoni. It was perfectly juicy and melted in mouth. One of the best pepperoni pizzas i have ever had. I have to come back for more. I am going to try to replicate that taste at home. The other pie was also tasty although I did not try it myself.
We had to have half of mushroom pizza to go as we both wanted to try the cheesecake (our favourite). Slightly burnt on top as described in the menu, i found it lacked a bit of ‘cheesiness’.
All in all, a mix of experiences at this lovely restaurant. The food and the ambiance negated all the little shortfalls we had. The staff is ever so polite. Sahil & Sunita, your smiling faces go a...

The hues of royal Blue and Gold gives this restaurant a luxury look and feel. The hives hanging from the lamps throughout the restaurant refreshes you and sets your mood to experience the delicious Multi Cuisine served here. The restaurant is so Instagrammable that you will spend some of the time clicking pictures with lilies, hives, swing, golden sofas spread across the restaurant.
The seating arrangements at this restaurant are very interesting. They have an outdoor seating arrangements by the street to chat with your loved ones. They have seating arrangements for everyone right from the couple to a big corporate team. They also have swing as a seating arrangement as well as a family Dining table.
Now lets concentrate on the main part i.e. Food and Drinks. The restaurant serves mouth watering dishes of European, Indian and Asian cuisine. A long chic bar table is just perfect for a quick drink during a sunny afternoon. Here's what we ordered.
Drinks: The drinks menu of Pleo is extensive and we ordered Spiced Route a Signature Cocktail and Passiflora a Signature Mocktail. Both the drinks were good and different. The Spiced Route had flavours of smoked spices and was served with iceberg in the glass. Passiflora was a sweet and tangy drink.
Appetizers: We wanted to try out different cuisine served here hence we ordered Yellow Chilli Paneer & Asparagus Roulade (Jain): Stir fried asparagus rolled in soft tender cottage cheese which was marinated with yellow chilli paste, mustard oil & spices and baked to perfection. It was served with delicious curry sauce and star fruit salsa. We loved the combination of flavours. Highly Recommended.
Truffle Avocado and Blue Pea Rice Sushi (Jain): Payal loves Avocado and Sushi and this Sushi was served Jain too hence we called for it without a doubt. It was upto expectations. However the size of sushi is small so you may want it more.
Mains: In mains we wanted to try out their wood fired Pizza and Indian Curry hence, we ordered Margarita Pizza (Jain)- It was a simple pizza with base sauce, a bit of Mozzarella and Burrata cheese, Rucola leaves and basil oil drizzled on it. This was okay to taste.
Pleo Makhni with Naan and Kulcha: We ordered this as we wanted to test if the restaurant can serve good food. To our suprise it was super. Logs of pan fried paneer stacked along with sauted spinach were stacked in a pool of velvety tomato gravy which was sweet and salty to taste. The breads were okay and can be improved. However the combination is amazing. Highly Recommended
Dessert: The restaurant needs to add on eggless desserts. We had only one option which was Mango Cheesecake. But it uplifted our mood. It had perfect sweetness and it was also light on stomach....

Pleo means More and yes this place is certainly larger than life. They got nice outdoor seating. Indoors are excessively good though. Positive happening vibes as soon as you step in.
They have taken efforts and can see many elements yet it is very soothing to our eyes. Loved the comfortable seating, the tables are far from each other. They got huge screen so you can enjoy the live streaming. Loved their bar counter with different glasses hanging giving a wow feel. Couches give you the comfort zone you want.
I was highly impressed with the hospitality they offer. All the servers and the total team were so attentive and supportive. They always had a smile on their face, which really matters.
Menu has Asian and continental dishes. Asian is mainly into Indian food as that is the comfort zone we have. It’s very rare to get good food in party places but here Chef Nitin and his team made wonders with food. Menu has many dishes but balanced well. Bar has few of the interesting cocktails and mocktails served in nicely designed glasses.
Drifting clouds (Mocktail) – Good blend of pineapple, touch of passion fruit, coconut syrup, tasted sweet n sour and garnished with a pineapple slice. (4.5/5)
Pleo Pearls (Cocktail) – Soothing drink made with orange gin, vanilla, kaffir liqueur and topped with sula sparkling wine. It was garnished with fruit sweet boba. (5/5)
Kam Heong Squids (small Plates) – Squid (Calamari) Batter fried and then tossed with tempering of curry leaves, dried red chillies, mixed peppers and a touch of soy sauce. A perfect chakna dish with best drinks in the house. Loved the portion size of the dish. (4.5/5)

Grilled Salmon (Big Plates) – salmon grilled very well, pink inside and crispy skin served on bed on BBQ Asparagus, hazelnut & parmesan polenta cake with yuzu and ginger. My favourite dish was done it perfect way. (5/5)
