Burn Kitchen & Malt Room is one of its kind concept. Located in the corporate capital of the city amidst all the skyrocketing buildings and fine dine restaurants, Burn – Kitchen & Malt Room is the first this city has ever seen, with a massive collection of single malts from over 70 countries across the globe. It’s one of the best in the city and providing the perfect place for intimacy, luxury and a corporate greet over a variety of whiskey, scotch and cigars.
Burn Kitchen & Malt Room is decked up from the exterior angle as a classically elegant & a posh place to visit, with their huge logo mounted in the pedestrian vicinity. The entrance marks a huge black door with Burn monogram embedded towards its left and one step into the interiors, you can feel the vibe of the place. The whole venue is brushed in shades of brown with yellow dim lights showcasing a huge bar on the right with bar stools and comfort leather upholstery seating towards the left and tables for two placed systematically in between the both. On the extreme stretch, there is comfort seating towards the either side with artificial bonfires on one side with shelves on the other which are filled with folders, malts and cigar boxes. The bar also displays the whole single malt collection and the interior allures of luxury and royalty at large. In short, it is a perfect setting for a classic dining experience & an ice breaking conversation.
The malt room being paramount in its own way, the venue imbibes a more corporate soul yet entertains a youthful spirit with its snuggly and chic bar ambience. The advantage of being in the prime location of Mumbai which is Bandra Kurla Complex with a very unique concept which sets Burn apart from the others.
Burn has 4 soups on the menu (2 Veg and 2 Non-veg). I tried the Roasted Tomato and Coriander Seeds Bisque Soup. It is served piping hot with crunchy croutons. Moving on to the salads, I tried the Creamy Goat Cheese with Caramelized Apple. The dish is tasty and equally photogenic as well. This Arugula salad is served with brittle walnuts and a balsamic dressing.
For beverages, I had Cranberry Juice and Fresh Orange Juice. With an array of options (both for veg as well as non-veg) for appetizers, I was spoilt for choice. And I ended up ordering the Peppery Cheese Rolls. The Cheese & Pepper Thai Rolls are served in a glass with a sweet and spicy dip and grated veggies. Coming to the speciality of the restaurant, Burn gourmet Bites. I tried the Roasted Pepper and Herbs Marinated Cottage Cheese Tikka, Malai Paneer Kebab and Cheese Cigars. Roasted Pepper and Herbs Marinated Cottage Cheese Tikka has paneer marinated in Burn’s homemade sauce with roasted Aioli and is served with spicy tomato sauce. Malai Paneer Kebab has cashew and cheese marinated and perfectly grilled. Cheese Rolls with Jalapeno is fried with spicy cheddar sauce.
The Fully Loaded Veggie Burn Burger is a must-try as it is not only a Burn’s signature dish but also a popular choice among the youth who visit the restaurant. The burger has cheddar cheese, extra hot spicy sauce, pickled jalapenos and a veggie patty. It is very filling and is very affordable. The main course at Burn has a variety of Adventurous Modern Fusion, Intercontinental and Indian dishes. I tried the Dhingri Makai Hara Pyaaz and Kadhai Paneer. Dhingri Makai Hara Pyaaz has mushroom, corn and spring onion cooked in dry masalas. Kadhai Paneer have Paneer cubes tossed with special Kadhai Masala. Alongside the main course dishes, I had Garlic Butter Naan, Cheese Masala Kulcha and Garlic Bread with Cheese.
Burn offers 7 desserts and I tried the Sizzling Chocolate Cigar and Blueberry Cheesecake. The Sizzling Chocolate Cigar was served hot with chocolate sauce and the Blueberry Cheesecake just melted in my mouth.
My experience at Burn was one of it’s kind. Do visit Burn – Kitchen...

Read moreBurn is located in BKC, and it’s a one-of-a-kind resto-bar serving single malt whiskies from different countries around the world. To be honest, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to what to eat and drink at this place.
On entering, you will feel as if you have entered some kind of Gentleman's Secret Club. The seating is very posh with suede furnishing, the lights are dim, the bar is lit. It's a great ambience to spend an evening at specially with the whiskies.
I visited with my friends on a Sunday to have a taste of their food.
Chicken Caesar's Salad :
I started with the Chicken Caesar's Salad as it's my favorite. Crisp lettuce along with olives and cherry tomatoes and bread croutons, the vegetables were really fresh and the overall salad felt really refreshing.
Burmese Khowsuey :
I was very much in the mood for Khowsuey and so decided to order this. I loved the dish. The coconut flavor in the soup was perfect. The noodles were cooked al dente. The presentation was bang on. If you are a fan of khowsuey, you can give this a try.
Mushroom Soup :
Another variety of soup I was very keen on trying is the mushroom soup. I am not a fan of mushrooms but this soup did not taste alot like mushrooms which was the vest part. Very creamy very buttery texture.
Burn Special Veg Pizza :
A thin crust cheesy pizza with olives, bell peppers, jalapenos, onions, corn amd a sprinkle of coriander leaves. I really loved the balance of the sauce and the veggies.
BBQ Chicken Wings :
Wings are my favorite specially when I am having cocktails or beers. Thr barbecue wings here were perfectly cooked and tossed in bbq sauce. I would have liked if they added more spiciness to it.
Chicken in Brown Sauce :
For the main course, I had the Chicken in Brown Sauce. This had a really big piece of chicken which for me is the USP of the dish. They serve it along with rice and sautéed vegetables. I really liked the brown sauce which was buttery and creamy had a mild flavor of chicken. The chicken piece though was a little bit overcooked but overall it tasted good. A must try here.
Pan Seared Basa with Lemon Butter Sauce :
I was craving for fish and so I ordered the Pan Seared Basa with Lemon Butter Sauce. I asked for rice and mashed potatoes on the side too. I loved the basa so much that the whole dish was completed within minutes. Very well cooked basa, the lemon butter sauce combination went really well with the fish. I am going back to Burn to eat this again.
Burning Hot Chocolate Ball :
For the desserts, I had the Chocolate Ball. They have a gimmick that they do before we can eat the chocolate ball. They burn a liquor and then pour it on top of the ball and then the chocolate on top melts and mixes with the liquor. It's a great video moment. Coming to the taste, for people who really love chocolate, you guys will fall in love with this dish. Its full of chocolate and brownie and they also have ice cream inside. It's the perfect end to a meal.
Black Forest Bombe :
I also tried the Black Forest Bombe which is basically a dark chocolate pastry. I loved it. Would have loved some vanilla ice cream along with this.
All in all, an...
