PopTates, Saki Naka – Review (300 words)
PopTates at Saki Naka is a lively, casual dining spot known for its upbeat vibe, affordable pricing, and wide-ranging menu that blends continental, Indian, Italian, and American bar food. Located near key office hubs and metro access, it's a favorite among the after-work crowd, college students, and groups looking to chill with good food and drinks.
The atmosphere is fun and energetic, with music playing in the background, dim lighting, and a colorful, slightly quirky interior. It’s not fine dining, but the casual, pub-like setting works well for informal meetups and celebrations. The seating is comfortable and the place can get quite packed during evenings and weekends, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours.
The menu is extensive, featuring everything from cheesy nachos and sizzlers to pizzas, pasta, burgers, and Indian starters like tandoori platters. Their sizzlers are a standout — hot, smoky, and satisfying. The BBQ Chicken Sizzler and Paneer Shashlik are especially popular. Portions are generous and presentation is decent for the price point.
For drinks, they offer a decent selection of cocktails, mocktails, beers, and classic mixers. The Happy Hour deals are a big hit, making it a budget-friendly option for those looking to unwind without splurging.
Service is friendly but can be a bit slow when the place is crowded. Still, the staff is generally helpful and attentive.
In terms of value, PopTates delivers a solid experience — good food, large portions, and a fun vibe, all at a reasonable price. It’s not gourmet, but it’s dependable, comforting, and always buzzing with energy. Ideal for casual hangouts, birthday dinners, or just a mid-week break with a drink and some loaded fries. A reliable neighborhood favorite...
Read moreWell I was staying in sakinaka area and wanted to walk down to a place for some beer in the evening. Found this place on google as nearest place, my review for the same is as below:
Ambiance: The place is located on the first floor of Sagar Pallazio mall which is a dead mall from inside with few outlets and banks on the outside. Once I entered this place it had two restaurants the outside one was Indian urban tadka so I opted for the one which was inside, Pop Tate’s. The place is nice and was full with people drinking and enjoying. A good vibe this place has though I think the main reason for the same was happy hours in the early evening time I visited.
Service: The staff was nice and friendly, I got my order fast even though the place was almost full.
Drinks: I only ordered beer, Budweiser from the tap which was served chilled and to top it there was happy hour which gave me one plus one on the same. I ended up having 2 500 ml and 2,330 ml mugs of beer.
Food: I ordered loaded nachos with some chicken on it, it was nice though a bit too cheesy for my taste and had to eat with a fork rather than hand. I also ordered chilli chicken, which was decent. The portions are small and good if you alone, though i feel looking at the price they were quite good portion sizes. Food is nothing special as per me.
Cost: My meal costed me around 1400 INR which included more than 1600ml beer and two appetisers non veg. As per me that’s very affordable and so many people coming to this place so early makes sense.
Overall the place was nice and very affordable, service was good and food was decent. This place is definitely easy on pocket though I would not say the food is something that you will be blown away by. It is a good pre party place which is easy...
