Pop Tate's Kurla — Restaurant in Mumbai

This was the first visit to pop Tate's kurla, have been to other outlets before, must say was throughly disappointed. The service was highly disappointing, just to give a order we had to ask for the waiter multiple times, and they were just bouncing it on other guys, not that they were busy in work, some of them were literally just standing in small groups talking or watching the match. A simple request to give us Schezwan sauce which was given with our order took them 4-5 reminders after which we were served. The sole star in the service is because we had ordered loaded nachos and the beans didn't feel fresh and they got it replaced immediately. Now the most important part, as a patron we have right to refuse to pay service charge and after receiving such a bad service, they went ahead and cancelled the service charge but didn't do any modifications to the gst component which they had charged in the total of the food bill and service charge. And when I tried to explain them that the bill is wrong they were not educated enough to understand and were just stuck on their calculation. When I asked them to get the manager or someone superior who was aware of this is when they came and say to me that whatever according to you is the amount you pay that. *A request to all the people who go to restaurants and get service charged cancelled from the bill to inspect the bill throughly as the gst component should be levied on the food bill and when service charged is applied they apply it on food bill+service charge...

Visited this outlet on the night of 24th June. Wished to have something broth-y. I'm sure had the Captain - Mr. Harsh- allowed me just 2-3 mins with anyone from the kitchen staff to explain, they'd have concocted something for me. Mr. Harish wasn't able to understand my requirements...and he actively prevented me from meeting anyone who could understand me.

Even in restaurants I've visited in the past, smaller as well bigger than this, a quick word with the kitchen staff had them modify an existing preparation to suit my requirements.

Result ? Had to half-heartedly eat something else.

Its not the question of Mr. Harish preventing me from meeting anyone. Its his sheer arrogance, haughtiness, "holier-than-thou" attitude and unprofessionalism that upset me.

Even the Bartender didn't do his job well. The "Hot Toddy" that I'd requested for was insipid / felt diluted and wasn't as hot (temp.-wise) as it should have been. Taste was also way off the mark.

Food ("Veg. Thai Green Curry") was good.

And the BEST PART was the service by the Steward- Mr. Amit . He was very professional, helpful, courteous and friendly. He should be the Captain. He's an asset and has my best wishes.

It's only due to Mr. Amit & the decent food quality that I'm rating this place a 1. Else, they deserve a 0 ! As long as the bartenders don't improve and ppl like Mr. Harish continue to work here, this place is doomed !

During lunch it was empty as I sat after 5 mins I requested to the change the table..They refused it and we all gotup and requested to change then they accepted it... All servers gathered together were arguing and gossing as they dont wanted us to sit on another table... To take the order it took 10mins... We ordered beer pitcher which was totally flat and it was sour we just called nazeem he told us that he will spk with the manager... But I dont know where was the manager but the captain pawan arrives on our table we told him to taste he was like its good beer and he was very rude to us he is not polite at all he don't deserve to work in hospitality industry...He told us he will change but he was arguing with us like anything no respect for customers very very rude he refilled the same one and brought on the table in which we just had little beer...Aftersometime we left our second happy hour pitcher which u dont wanted to drink coz captain pawan had already spoiled the mood we had to leave the restaurant coz I was unhappy with a captain name pawan who is totally worst guy... He has a attitude problem... When we left all the servers standing together no thank you nothing...Food was tasty like always poptates...
