Sagar Dining Hall is conveniently located just 2 minutes from Borivali Station, situated on the first floor. However, finding the entrance can be a bit tricky due to the lack of a clear and visible signboard. A proper signboard would greatly help first-time visitors.

The food is definitely the highlight here—I'd rate it 9/10. The taste is impressive, especially for those who enjoy vegetarian cuisine. The food quality is commendable, not too oily, though a few items were served lukewarm instead of hot.

The major drawback, unfortunately, is the service, which is highly disappointing. I'd rate it 1/10. Despite having enough staff, the management is poor. You have to repeatedly call out to the servers for every item, which significantly affects the dining experience. The staff needs to be more attentive and proactive in catering to customers.

The thali includes around 10 items, with one sweet dish—Amras in my case, which was thick and milkshake-like. While the rest of the items are served unlimited, the sweet is limited.

Ambience-wise, it’s decent and functional—I’d rate it 5/10. Given the number of competitors in the area and the premium rental location, Sagar Dining Hall must work on its customer service to remain competitive.

Simple yet delicious and healthy Gujrati Thali. The food served is hot and tasty. The pure Gujrati Thali is unlimited and comprises of 3 types vegetables, 2 types of dal, kadi, chapati, bhakhri, 1 farsan, rice as well as khichdi, chaas apart from salad, chatnis, pickle, papad etc. Despite the wide variety of items served unlimited, the thali is reasonably priced at 130/- (150/- for Sundays and public holidays with an Extra farsan). Sweet is served extra at 20/- per plate and you can choose your favorite from piping hot gulab jamuns, dry fruit shrikhand, fruit salad and fresh aam ras(seasonal). The ambience is not too lavish & the dishes aren't stylish but you get top quality gujrati food at affordable prices as compared to other fancy restaurants not providing value for your money.
