The review is from 22nd July, 2024 and you must read this before deciding Silver Oaks for your special days. We ordered Minestrone soup and it barely had pasta in it. Upon confrontation, the waiter started arguing this way - "Minestrone soup aisa hi aata hai. Aap 1 by 2 order karoge toh pasta itna hi aayega." I asked him that we wanted more pasta since we know what we had last time. Please add some more or make modifications. Upon that, he started touching the spoon and started stirring the soup to show us the quantity of pasta and other vegetables.
He disagreed and I asked him to call the manager! Now that's the plot twist. Please beware of the manager with a tie and specks, he's the rudest I came across. I explained him the entire situation these are the words he said
"Minestrone soup aise hi banta hai" "Chefs ko aata hai soup banana aur hum aise hi banate hai"
To add to this, he had the rudest expressions with a really off body language. No one would ever even talk to that person. That's not how you treat your customers. He clearly didn't know how to strike a conversation with a woman, forget following any etiquette.
We asked him to cancel the order and he said, "if the preparations have begun, you can't cancel the order."
THE MATTER WAS ONLY ABOUT ADDING PASTA IN THE SOUP but the manager isn't paid well so he enjoyed arguing, disrespecting and showing awful body language as if he owns the restaurant.
Also, I was with a male friend and he didn't speak in the beginning. When he started speaking to the manager, that's when things escalated.
THIS CLEARLY SHOWS HOW THE STAFF DOES NOT TREAT WOMAN EQUALLY IMPORTANT. THEY HARDLY CARED WHEN A FEMALE WAS TALKING. THAT'S CLEARLY A GENDER-BIASED PLACE TO EAT!
Another person stepped in and apologised however, this manager with specks was so adamant that he did not even apologise for using harsh language and dominating expressions. He was in complete attitude with tight shoulders and didn't bother to solve the matter.
So, what do we expected out of Landmark Group? Managers fight over a few pasta?
Now, that's where the restaurant is? Why would we prefer silver oaks? If we want to fight for the basics, we would instead prefer typical family restaurants with chaotic surroundings.
We've dining in Silver Oaks since 2015 and there's a waiter we know. He requested us to stay and we did complete the lunch only because of him.

ย ย ย Read moreAmbience: Just like everyone else here, I am going to crib about the location too. The place is located in an absolutely dead area (no hustle bustle) of Malad. Its off the Malad Link Road and a little closer to Orlem. The day when I went to Silver Oaks the weather was overcast but pleasant. When I entered the restaurant the diffused light that entered from the large windows accentuated the overall ambience of the restaurant.
Food: Overcast conditions outside and I was feeling under the weather that day too. I only ordered a Chicken Manchow Soup followed by Dal Khichdi. Both of which were really tasty. My friends at the table ordered Paneer Chilly/Crispy which was good and was prepared in red sauce. Also Chicken Crispy and Butter Chicken with Roti. These honest beings liked the dishes they had ordered and did mention that I try it the next time I come here.
Overall Experience: The service here is good but one of the waiters made an error during service, the napkin he was using accidently dipped into the dish and upon notifying him just removed the napkin and continued to serve (We sent the dish back.). Apart from this error the rest of the visit was quite satisfying.
