Stepping into this place feels like stepping into a greyscale glossy newspaper. They have an extremely powerful monochromatic theme. Everything exudes confidence here, right from their marble topped tables to their strong-backed buffalo printed sofas. With the media nowadays grabbing eyeballs with attention-seeking negativity, this place stands apart with its rows and rows of happily framed newspaper cut-outs hanging from the ceiling and their huge intriguing cage of well wishes. Their food looks master chef pretty. Presentation and class are their primary forte. In the drinks, we had the Moon Maiden. It had a perfect blend of cranberry, ale and the tanginess of lime. You know a drink is good when it has a crackle of an aftertaste to it. This one struck the right chords with the cranberry juice being neither too sweet, nor too sour. All the food here had tiny flavours assimilating together to produce a distinct taste. We also had Midas Touch. It had watermelon, cucumber and anise. This small bomb of a drink was extremely rejuvenating and had a fresh flavour to it. With the watermelon making it a cool summer drink, the cucumber and anise make an extremely hydrating, cold addition. The cucumber and mint were distinct with watermelon complementing their flavour. Coming to the Yellow Mellow, it had a peculiar flavour of pineapple and banana, with the pineapple being the protagonist. It was tangy, yet sweet drink. This was by far one of the most unique combinations we have ever had. The Roast Chicken Salad here had a very smooth taste. They had a base of olive oil and butter blending all the ingredients like soft and spiced julienne chicken, olives, kale leaves, spinach and finely chopped, soft, buttery tomato together. This assortment comes in a thick wooden bowl. The Champagne Mushroom Fricassee had wild mushroom sautéed with champagne. It had a slight, weak and tender cover holding soft vinegered parmesan-cheesy mushrooms within. There was a ketchup sauce splattered on the side with a decor of basil and cilantro leaves. Their tomato sauce felt homemade with a hint of chilly and a blast of flavour. Beer Battered Prawns and Calamari, this had a sider of mayonnaise with super-fine onion chops and coriander in it. There was a crunchy, crispy layer on top, once you get past this, there are moist prawns within. This dish brought a strong mouth-watering aroma of fresh prawns and beer with it. It came in a wooden basket on a lace tissue. The Cottage Cheese Steak which formed an essential part of the food we ate was cooked absolutely brilliantly. The fork just sunk into the cottage cheese making it taste like heaven. The fondue served alongside was creamy cheesy and thick at the same time. The ratatouille served alongside was just the best one we ever had. The Char Cottage Cheese Sandwich also was made brilliantly. It basically had the same fillings as the steak but the bread made it deeper and better and also more succulent. Their presentation skills blew our minds off. We had the Slow Roast Pork with Pineapple and Bird Eye Chili Glaze in Brioche Bread. The bread was thick and slightly toasted. The pork was plain magic. It was sweetened to perfection with the perfect glaze. It was juicy and utterly succulent. This came with fries and a special salad. The salad had really fresh vegetables and was a delight. We also had the Flourless Dark Chocolate Mud Cake. This was a dream. Probably the best dessert we have ever had. The chocolate was rich and insanely soft. It had powdered sugar shower and a slim burnt apple slice on the side with vanilla ice cream topped with a cute cilantro leaf. Mascarpone Almond Crumble was another amazement. This had the softest cream cheese scoops sprinkled with almond bits sided with glazed oranges. The oranges just slid out of their peel. They serve fine food at its best. All in all, this place blew our minds away. Their food, their ambience, their aura is just a class apart. Ambience: 5/5 Taste Quotient:...

The Daily bar and kitchen is a nice centrally located place behind shoppers stop Bandra mainly serving European cuisine. The restaurant is now open for lunch throughout the week as well.

The interiors of this restaurant are eye catchy.Divided in 2 parts. Outdoor seating section( alfresco section) and the other being a/c seating section.Interiors theme go well with the name (The daily) as one will find sheets of paper news hanging at the ceiling of a/c section, on the walls of washrooms as well. The music played here is amazing,Extremely foot tapping.

A striking feature of this place is that although its named Daily Bar. Its just not only a drink place .It also serves good variety of mouthwatering dishes..Basically it has a vast food menu as well. They have variety of vegan options too which is heartening to see.

Special mention for Pooja who has put her heart and soul behind designing the food menu here. She has done a wonderful job.Staff service was good, extremely courteous. The presentation of dishes/mocktails are kept relatively simple but when it comes to the taste food/drinks -Its really good which is one of the reason that even on a weekday night it was packed in an area like Bandra where there are loads of bar/restaurant options for one to choose from

Coming to variety of dishes i tried here

Mocktails

Scarecrow -A nice refreshing kiwi flavour mocktail.

Little foot - A guava based mocktail.Guava.lime juice used in its preparation.A little on spicy side

Moon maiden -Signature mocktail of this place for me .Lychee based mocktail with cranberry juice in it.

Overall i loved their drinks.Rohit hedge (bar tender) of this place did a great job

Soups

Mushroom cappuccino - A super tasty soup .Mushrooms, butter, onion, garlic ,cream and milk form ingredients of this frothy soup

Appetizers

Thai style stir fried lotus root-A great vegan option to try from .It had very small holes on the surface which actually helped it to absorb flavors.Extremely tasty. It had a very crunch and cristy taste/texture to it.Must try!!

Champagne mushroom fricassee - This is a signature dish of The DAILY for me Vegan version.Fricasse dishes are normally made of pigeons or liver. Here they use mushrooms instead.Small filo wrap with cheese and champagne vinegar stuffing.Simply wow.It just melted in my mouth .I can go again to this place just to have this appetizer again

Veggie brioche Pockets -These bread pockets had a mixture of red pototatoes.goat cheese, onions toping.A great combination of flavours.

Main course

Slow roasted Roma tomatoes with spaghetti - Roma tomatoes used is the highlight of this dish .Its not much used in mumbai .So this is sumthing unique trying at this place. The basil sauce was just so yummy and fresh.Highly recommended.

Over roasted tomato and olive stuffed Ravioli - This was a kind of round shape dumpling had tomato and olive stuffing between two layers of pasta dough.A great dish to try out. This is one of the few dishes which features in their special lunch as well dinner menu .I highly recommend everyone to try this dish. Not to miss out

Dessert

Nutella sea salt pancake - Saved best for the last.Although this took 10 mins preparation time. But it was fully worth the wait.Extremely delicious round pancake prepared from batter .It was served with honey.maple syrup and nutella. I loved it .

Overall i had a great time at The Daily .A great place to unwind with your special ones.friends and family

Definitely worth checking...

Location: Behind Shoppers Stop, S.V Road, Bandra (W)

Recommendation: Scarecrow Mocktail Oven Roasted Tomato & Olives Stuffed Ravioli Hickory Smoked Chicken & Parmesan Cheese Omlete Pulled Pork Sandwich Nutella Sea Salt Pancakes (Highly Recommended)

Located in a lane just behind Shoppers Stop, The Daily Bar & Kitchen has it's own world filled with Positive Vibes. The reason being the theme of displaying the best joyous daily news framed and hung from ceilings and near the seatings. They have gone an extra mile and taken efforts to even change these news on a specific period of time giving. The mesmerizing monochromatic look with hanging frames, it does take you to another world away from the daily hustle and bustle of the city. They have an outdoor seating as well which was occupied by people attending a painting event happening at this place when we went here on a Sunday for Brunch Yes it is NOW OPENED FOR LUNCH as well. They also have a separate Sunday Brunch Lunch along with a Lunch menu for regular days. The Lunch has limited yet good options and now they have introduced options for Vegans and Vegetarians as well since the regular menu is dominated for Non Vegetarians. We started with the Hickory Smoked Chicken & Parmesan Cheese Omlete. It was the fluffiest Omlete I have ever had It had Chicken pieces inside the folder Omelet and served along with Chili Garlic Sausage, Salad and Toasted Bread. If you have a less appetite then just order it along with their fresh smoothies and you are good to go. All you Egg Benedict Lovers must try it out the one served here. It consisted of two in house breads topped with grilled Bacon, poached eggs served along with Beetroot Hollandaise sauce. The sauce gave it creamy texture and an addicting taste! For mains we ordered for Asian Style Soy Chili Tofu and Oven Roasted & Tomato Olives Stuffed Ravioli The former is good if you are here for a filling food. It consisted of pan seared Tofu cooked in Soy Chili Sauce along with edamame, mushrooms & bell peppers and was served along with basil flavoured steamed rice. I absolutely Liked it! However had it been a bit spicy then it would have been better almost perfect to what I had in mind after reading the name on menu. The Ravioli was the classiest I have ever had! The shape of the Ravioli was so perfect! It was Stuffed with a mixture of roasted tomatoes, olives and pine nuts and perfectly cooked in a chive butter sauce finished with spicy tomato coulis, goat cheese, pine nuts and micro greens. Hands down this was the BEST RAVIOLI I have ever had! We ended our meal with their much talked about dessert - Nutella Sea Salt Pancakes. And now I know why it is so! Fluffy pancakes were Stuffed with Nutella and topped with Maple Cream. The taste was HEAVENLY as it had a prominent saltiness from the Sea Salt which against the sweetness from Nutella worked so well together. It definitely was one of the best desserts to have I can travel miles just to have it! The most highlighting part for me was the freshness of the ingredients used which showcased their charms in a better way. I simply am in love with this place which offers food and service in a very sophisticated way winning your hearts.

Great for their boozy Sunday brunches with various packages to suits your wants! HIGHLIGHT: their tiny Labrador rescue puppy gnawing at your shoes under the table, while you sip on your mimosas and bellinis. First Course • Watermelon and Feta Salad : an all time favourite, perfectly done with pine nuts, lettuce and feta cheese. Your brunch is incomplete without this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Black Quinoa Chickpea Salad : in Orange tahini vinaigrette with snap peas, dried cranberries, pomegranate, and mint pumpkin seeds. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Roasted Chicken Salad : in honey mustard dressing with mixed lettuce leaves and lemon zest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Daily Tuna Salad : in honey mustard dressing with mixed lettuce, cherry tomatoes and cucumber. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Second Course • Buffalo Mozzarella and Cottage Cheese Sandwich : chargrilled cottage cheese with exotic vegetables and buffalo mozzarella. Favourite! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wild Mushroom Sandwich : porcini and button mushroom fricassee topped with pine nuts and goat’s cheese. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smoked Chicken Sandwich : hickory smoked chicken marinated in hot sauce topped with jalapeño and emmental cheese. MUST HAVE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Third Course • ⠀ Mascarpone Risotto : creamy arborio rice in pomodoro sauce, topped with mascarpone cheese. Average in taste, the mascarpone overpowered the pomodoro flavour making the dish a little sour. ⭐⭐⭐⭐️ Kungpao Cottage Cheese Steak : glazed in nutty kungpao sauce, served on a bed of soba noodles. An interesting spin on this all time Chinese favourite! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Slow Roasted Roma Tomato with Spaghetti : In buttery Roma tomato and fresh basil sauce and olives. Takes you back to Italy - MUST TRY! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pappardelle Pasta with Lamb Ragout : slow cooked lamb ragout with homemade pasta. What dreams are made of - MUST TRY! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Grilled Porcini Chicken : pan-grilled chicken in porcini mushroom sauce, with a side of leek potato mash and braised asparagus. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⠀ Fourth Course • Nutella Sea Salt Pancake : a dome shaped pancake served with Nutella on the side, topped with chocolate chips. In spite of my undying love for Nutella, this one gets a low rating as to me, pancakes taste best when made in the traditional way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dark Chocolate Buttermilk Waffle : thin and crispy waffle, served with a dollop of whipped cream and some maple syrup. Heavenly! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wildberry Pink Peppercorn Pannacotta : set on a bed of wildberry coulis topped with chia seeds and mint leaves. These pannacottas were some of the softest I’ve ever had. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Orange and Pomegranate Pannacotta : a crowd favourite! Must try ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Flourless Dark Chocolate Mud Cake : served with some vanilla icecream, this warm, chewy dark chocolate cake was MY FAVOURITE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The presentation of dishes/mocktails are kept relatively simple but when it comes to the taste food/drinks -Its really good which is one of the reason that even on a weekday night it was packed in an area like Bandra where there are loads of bar/restaurant options for one to choose from Coming to variety of dishes i tried here Mocktails Scarecrow -A nice refreshing kiwi flavour mocktail. Little foot - A guava based mocktail.Guava.lime juice used in its preparation.A little on spicy side Moon maiden -Signature mocktail of this place for me .Lychee based mocktail with cranberry juice in it. Overall i loved their drinks.Rohit hedge (bar tender) of this place did a great job Soups Mushroom cappuccino - A super tasty soup .Mushrooms, butter, onion, garlic ,cream and milk form ingredients of this frothy soup Appetizers Thai style stir fried lotus root-A great vegan option to try from .It had very small holes on the surface which actually helped it to absorb flavors.Extremely tasty. It had a very crunch and cristy taste/texture to it.Must try!! Champagne mushroom fricassee - This is a signature dish of The DAILY for me Vegan version.Fricasse dishes are normally made of pigeons or liver. Here they use mushrooms instead.Small filo wrap with cheese and champagne vinegar stuffing.Simply wow.It just melted in my mouth .I can go again to this place just to have this appetizer again Veggie brioche Pockets -These bread pockets had a mixture of red pototatoes.goat cheese, onions toping.A great combination of flavours. Main course Slow roasted Roma tomatoes with spaghetti - Roma tomatoes used is the highlight of this dish .Its not much used in mumbai .So this is sumthing unique trying at this place. Not to miss out Dessert Nutella sea salt pancake - Saved best for the last.Although this took 10 mins preparation time. But it was fully worth the wait.Extremely delicious round pancake prepared from batter .It was served with honey.maple syrup and nutella. I loved it . Overall i had a great time at The Daily .A great place to unwind with your special ones.friends and family Definitely worth checking out Saumil shah
