The Dessert Republic® - Ghatkopar — Restaurant in Mumbai

Well, read the other reviews here, where many people are saying that items are overpriced. Well, what I would like to say is, price of a food item should never be an issue unless you don't like it's taste. We ordered Beri Beri Mochi, Plain Vanilla icecream, Iceberg creamsicle and Caramel frappe, out of which the plain vanilla icecream was the only saving grace. Rest of the items were bland, nothing noteworthy. Most of the items were not sweet. While consuming, we felt like they were meant for diabetic people. Also, the lady at the counter had zero knowledge about the products on offer. How can an employee not have proper knowledge? Very strange. With respect to Beri Beri Mochi, we asked for a fork / spoon from the lady, to which she said, she is not allowed to give it and this item has to be eaten by hand only. Come on, don't we have the freedom as a customer to eat the way we want to? Also, the sliding door entrance of the shop is heavily jammed. You have to apply your whole might to open it. How has the owner overlooked this and not repaired it till now? You can not run a shop like this.

Anyway, we had no issue with the pricing, but didn't like the bland taste of items, so this was our first and last visit...

I finally tried the Pizookie at The Dessert Republic, and it was every bit as indulgent as I hoped! Served warm in a skillet, the cookie was soft and gooey in the center with a slightly crisp edge, topped with a scoop of ice cream that melted beautifully into it. The first bite felt like a perfect balance of comfort and decadence.

It is definitely on the sweeter side, so best enjoyed when you’re really in the mood for a rich treat (or shared with a friend). The portion is generous, and the presentation makes it feel extra special.

Whatever we ordered was just awesome superb ambience Had croissant for 1st time...awesome taste super flaky crispy moist.. ordered a croiss-ice-sant..it had two scoops of ice cream with brownie chunks everything topped with a rich chocolate sauce Even ordered nutella pizookie...great taste It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream n chocolate sauce..due to sweetness of nutella n vanilla..i felt it was a bit more on sweeter note..would recommend to try other flavour Even ordered pink dash..a soda based drink with a flavour of guava..it was nice..
