Croissant lovers, this one is for you! This tiny bakery in Bandra is a croissant paradise. They have a wide variety of croissants and other bakes to choose from. Go for a simple butter croissant or a pain au chocolate or their cruffins, it’s all so good.
They also serve an amazing beverage called the Cross Road. We tried the coffee + orange flavour and it was amazing. On enquiring about it, a staff member mentioned that it is developed by one of their ex-chefs. You can have it just like that (if you like strong coffee) or they also serve it topped with soda. I liked it just the way it was.
The staff here is courteous and sweet. They even help you with what you should eat, because you are spoilt for choice.
There is very limited seating. 4-5 hi chairs inside and one community table outside (can seat 4-6 guests). They usually play good music. While I was there, we were listening to best of Coke Studio Bharat.
The best part about this bakery is that it is not overpriced. For the portion sizes and the quality of food, they offer the price point is very good. Whenever I am passing by, I definitely get some breads home.
So, next time you are in Bandra,...
Read moreMeant to go to another bakery in the area a couple days ago, but it was closed, so i ended up at TwentySeven Bakehouse. And i'm really glad i did. I went in the morning, so besides myself there was only one staff member. The dark chocolate babka looked the most tempting so it was what i had inhouse and it tasted absolutely amazing. It was heated so the chocolate, brownie- like pieces on top were the perfect melt in your mouth texture and the ratio of chocolate to pastry was just right. Of all the babkas i've had, this has been the best. Most of the prices are reasonable but a few are a bit too much, like that of the tarts for it's small size. Went back yesterday evening for another babka, but sadly and not suprisingly though, they were out of stock. I tried the dark chocolate almond glaze instead which was also nice. The texture was in between that of a cake and brownie. There are also some cool savoury options. Lastly, there's limited seating, about 4-5 chairs in a counter seating manner so keep that in mind. I will go back to try some...
Read moreHad the Maritozzo was nice , i like the cherry compote filling which was nice in acidity, there mascarpone was fluffy and smooth, but the brioche bun was a bit of disappointment. It dint seem to be fresh and soft . It had a tough and dry texture and seemed to be kept out for quite awhile because of the bun the whole dish was not too enjoyable since the bun was the main base.
Ambience is cute and cosy
Staff was good except the one with 2 dimples & slightly tall(sorry dint ask her name) who was showing attitude and accent when i asked her to explain me about the dish which i wanted to eat. She dint seem quite interested in serving a customer and jumped of to another customer who placed a bigger order. I waited to pay and she was busy with the other order and then i just asked someone else to punch my order.
Would visit again but not to place my order to her.
Prices very decent for the...
