Ambiance and Decor: The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, with subtle traditional touches that set the stage for an authentic dining experience. The decor featured beautiful artwork depicting South Indian culture, and the soft lighting created a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
Service: The service was excellent from the moment I stepped in. The staff greeted me with a friendly smile and promptly seated me. They were well-versed with the menu and happily answered my questions about various dishes. Throughout the meal, they were attentive and ensured that everything was to my liking.
Food and Beverages: The menu boasted an array of South Indian delicacies, and I opted to try some classic favorites along with a few recommendations from the staff. The dosas were simply divine – thin, crispy, and filled with flavorful masala, they transported me back to the bustling streets of South India. The idlis were soft and spongy, served with an assortment of chutneys that perfectly complemented their taste.
One standout dish was the spicy and aromatic Chettinad chicken curry, which was bursting with flavors and left me craving for more. The sambar and rasam were authentic and provided a delightful balance of tangy and spicy notes.
As for beverages, the restaurant served refreshing coconut water and a variety of fresh fruit juices, which were a perfect accompaniment to the...
Read moreThe experience was that of a fine dining restaurant! I have been to this restaurant earlier many times and have mostly tried their breakfast South Indian menu, which has always been fab. Yesterday I happened to go to south Mumbai for some important work with family and just randomly thought that y not have dinner here. I guess it was the best decision! They have introduced this new restaurant on the floor above called Firangi, which consisted of all asian menu: Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Thai. I ordered: edamame dimsums, cream of broccoli soup, cream of asparagus soup, veg tempura sushi and veg hakka noodles. Each one of the items from the ordered menu were brilliantly prepared! They tasted much better than what my experience was at Yauatcha Bengaluru ! Everything pure veg and we don't like spicy food, so the chef prepared it as per our taste. 10/10 for the taste and presentation! We even ordered tadka dal, tandoori aloo, lasuni palak, ghee rice and tandoori roti. All of it was amazingly tasty and we wanted non spicy and the chef made it just as we wanted! All in all it was a lovely experience! Loved it! Would plan my visit again soon. Just a suggestion: please take care of the cleanliness of the washrooms and the washarea coz that was...
Read moreI went here when i visited lamington road for my tech stuff & my stomach was calling, i was searching for some restaurants but there wasn't any hotel, suddenly I saw this restaurant on signal corner opposite royal opera house, so thought to give a try. Taste of food is good not best but rate is quite higher side, approx double(1.5x) than any other same ambience restaurant, maybe due to locality. Service was top notch. Ambience & atmosphere was more than good, i tried authentic South Indian dishes such as rassam wada & panner tikka masala, paneer was too soft & perfect but tikka(tandoor part) was missing on paneer & gravy was okaish. i also tried sitafal icecream which was not close to naturals but ok to beat summar heat. Manager makes sure no one face issues. They should seriously low their prices...
