A Night of Opulence: My Experience at Belisario Delhi
As I stepped into the enchanting realm of Belisario, nestled adjacent to the prestigious Shangri-La Eros Hotel in Delhi, I knew I was in for an extraordinary dining experience. Created by the visionary Ankit Das, the mastermind behind the beloved Club BW, Belisario promised a fusion of luxury, history, and gastronomy.
Opting for the alfresco dining area, I was immediately captivated by the ambiance that surrounded me. The meticulously designed space exuded an air of grandeur, with bold architectural elements paying homage to the opulence of ancient Rome and Greece. It was a high-energy oasis, inviting me to indulge in the upscale nightlife of the capital while savoring a sumptuous meal.
Belisario's philosophy of dining as an experience transcending the ordinary was evident in every detail, from the intricately crafted décor to the rich tapestry of flavors showcased in their menu. Drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean region and incorporating beloved global flavors, the menu offered a tantalizing array of culinary delights.
Embarking on my gastronomic journey, I started with a selection of drinks that perfectly complemented the vibrant atmosphere. From the refreshing Tropical G&T to the bold Gin Bramble and the classic Sangria, each sip was a celebration of flavor and craftsmanship.
Moving on to the appetizers, I savored the New York Prawn Sushi, a delightful fusion of tempura-fried prawn, crab stick, avocado, and tanuki, followed by the BBQ Chicken Bao, a mouthwatering combination of pan-fried steam bun and tangy BBQ sauce.
For the mains, I indulged in the Paprika Chicken Pizza, topped with pomodoro sauce, mozzarella, and fresh rocket leaves, alongside the flavorful Kimchi Rice, featuring Korean kimchi and toasted sesame seeds with a hint of burnt garlic.
Finally, no culinary journey would be complete without a sweet finale, and Belisario did not disappoint. I relished the classic Tiramisu, a perfect balance of creamy mascarpone, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of cocoa powder.
Beyond its exquisite cuisine, Belisario proved to be more than just a restaurant; it was a dynamic party destination where themed events and unforgettable celebrations awaited. Stepping into Belisario was like stepping back in time to an era of splendor and sophistication, reborn in a contemporary setting.
In conclusion, my maiden visit to Belisario Delhi was a truly unforgettable experience, a perfect amalgamation of luxury, history, and gastronomy. Whether you're seeking a memorable dining experience or a vibrant nightlife destination, Belisario promises to exceed your expectations and leave you...

Visited Belisario at Shangri-La, New Delhi on 24th May 2025 with two couples and two children. Despite having a valid reservation via Zomato (with a 30–40% offer), we were subjected to one of the worst hospitality experiences we’ve ever encountered.
We were first seated, but shockingly, after some time, staff asked us to vacate our table — because a large group of girls was waiting and would generate a bigger bill. They openly admitted that since we had a Zomato discount, we were not “high-value clients.” There were more than 40–50 empty seats available in the same section, but greed took over basic hospitality.
When we refused, staff began to ignore us, refused to take orders, and even maliciously turned the air conditioning to an uncomfortably low temperature, deliberately making the children in our group uncomfortable. When we objected, they only turned it off briefly.
The manager arrived and shouted at us, saying they “cannot upset big clients for the sake of a small group like yours.” We again offered to switch tables to maintain peace. But once we shifted, the harassment continued. The AC was again turned to its chilliest setting. When we objected, a staff member backed by a group of men came and said they won’t change anything and even threatened us, implying physical confrontation.
We were calm, sober, and with family, but their behavior crossed all professional lines. As we asked for the bill, we overheard staff saying, “Get their bill, they are from Zomato — all these customers are the same.”
To be noted we paid our bill in full without the Zomato discounts (Rs. 13000 in just 1 or 1 and half hour after occupying the seats)
This is not just rude—it’s unethical and discriminatory. They lure customers via Zomato deals, then treat them like freeloaders. If you don’t value Zomato customers, why list your offers there?
To make it worse, they were openly serving hookah, and had plans to start loud music/DJ post 12 AM, in blatant violation of Delhi noise laws and fire safety norms.
The behavior of the Belisario team was: • Greedy • Discriminatory • Hostile • Legally questionable
Belisario doesn’t belong in a 5-star hotel—it shames the Shangri-La brand. I urge all families and responsible customers to avoid this place entirely. A legal and regulatory complaint will follow.
Shame on your ethics, your greed, and your treatment of...
Read moreAt Belisario, my dining experience was a delightful mix of bold flavors and comforting simplicity. I began with the lemon pumpkin soup, a warming, velvety concoction that struck a perfect balance between sweet and tangy. The pumpkin's natural richness was elevated by a bright citrus kick, creating a soup that felt both cozy and refreshing. Its smooth texture and well-seasoned depth made it the ideal start to the meal.
The star of the evening was the chargrilled chicken, a dish that delivered on both flavor and technique. The chicken was cooked to perfection—juicy and tender inside, with a crispy, golden skin on the outside that carried a subtle smokiness from the chargrill. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the seasoning was just right, enhancing the natural taste of the meat without overwhelming it. The sides were thoughtfully chosen, offering a complementary balance to the rich chicken.
From the welcoming ambiance to the impeccable service, every detail at Belisario contributed to a memorable dining experience. The lemon pumpkin soup and chargrilled chicken alone showcased the restaurant's dedication to crafting dishes that are both comforting and elevated.
If you’re looking for a meal that marries heartwarming flavors with refined execution, Belisario is the place to be. The soup and chicken were both highlights, and I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of what this exceptional restaurant...
