I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shang Palace, and it was a gastronomic journey I won't soon forget.

The restaurant as a whole has elegance and sophistication. The ambiance was intimate and inviting, setting the stage for what was to come.

The menu at Shang Palace is a culinary masterpiece. Each dish was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The dim sum selection was a highlight of my meal. The dumplings were delicate, and the fillings burst with flavor. I couldn't get enough of the shrimp dumplings and the delectable barbecue pork buns.

The presentation was as impressive as the taste. The duck skin was perfectly crispy, and the meat tender and succulent. It was served with all the traditional accompaniments, and the staff expertly carved it tableside.

What truly sets Shang Palace apart is the impeccable service. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the cuisine. They guided me through the menu, explaining each dish's origin and preparation method, which added to the overall experience.

Shang Palace is a culinary gem. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for an exceptional dining experience, this restaurant delivers in spades. I can't wait to return and explore more of their...

Friday dinner was at Shang Palace, shanghri-la. The evening breeze complimented our decision. Nevertheless, the experience was not upto mark. We got a quick seating outdoors but very slow service. Both Lamb pot stickers and chicken dimsums were just warm and fried chicken was very dry. Have definitely had much better dimsums. Drinks were fine. Had just started with above that it started pouring.

We were seated inside to the commotion visible amongst the severs. Quite understandable with houseful. Table was set after a gap and with a delay in repeat drinks order. For main course, it was Chilly garlic noodles with Yunan asian veg and Marble braised pork. Delayed beyond 20min and Noodles came in again just warm. Veggies and pork was definitely a drool. We were ofcourse informed that pork will take time.

The experience was compromised due to sudden rain. But the unpreparedness of the servers and chefs at an elite place dents the experience more. The food and service was not worth the time and money spent; 3/5. For outdoor ...

Below average service, average ambience, average food, NOT value for money. I was really looking forward to having dinner at Shangri La..however..I was highly disappointed. 1. It was our anniversary & was looking for a romantic setting..I was not satisfied with the seating & ambience. It was not romantic at all 2. Food was average, nothing special 3. Service was below expectations, considering its a 5 to 7 star property..there was lack of warmth, courtesy & welcoming attitude.. the servers & staff did not seem very interested in attending to the guests.. Overall, I felt that I was not worth paying such a huge amount, it dint seem like fine dining experience at all... hope they live upto their brand name and luxury hospitality standards..

Good food but shamefully slow and inept service. No tables have been assigned to staff. You really have to struggle to get someone's attention. All restaurants at Shangri La NewDelhi are painfully inadequately staffed or managed, but Shang Palace takes it to another level. One feels bad for the staff as they always seem hassled and overworked. But that shouldn't be the concern of a guest. The food is authentic and at par with most other Shang Palace outposts around the world. Please sort out your service. It's a shame such good food is messed up by constant shoddy service.

Sahil Arora the new executive chef of Shangri-La is one of the coolest chef around. I met him almost five years back at Marriott Jaipur and has been following him since then. The ongoing crustacean crush is a food promotion which has Delhi never experienced before. I have been told by their dynamic team of chefs that they get their daily quota of seafood from Kochi and the sweet and delicious crab which I ate was from chilka lake orrisa.  A festival you can’t miss simply because you will never get these kind of seafoods in delhi.
