Nestled within the prestigious Hotel Ashok, in the heart of the Diplomatic Enclave in Chanakyapuri, Ophelia Delhi is a dining haven that combines elegance with culinary delight. My recent visit to Ophelia left me impressed with its ambiance and gastronomic offerings.

The menu at Ophelia Delhi is a celebration of flavors, offering a diverse range of dishes to suit various palates. During my visit, I had the opportunity to sample a selection of their offerings. The culinary craftsmanship was evident in the presentation and taste of each dish.
One of the highlights of the meal was the fusion of Indian and international cuisines. The innovative combinations showcased the culinary team's creativity and expertise. From aromatic curries to well-grilled meats, each dish was a journey of flavors that left a lasting impression.
The cocktail menu at Ophelia Delhi is equally impressive, featuring a range of handcrafted drinks that complement the dining experience. The mixologists have curated a selection that caters to different preferences, and I found the cocktails to be well-balanced and flavorful.
The restaurant's location within the Hotel Ashok adds to its charm, as it offers a serene view of the surrounding greenery. The outdoor seating area provides a relaxed setting for al fresco dining, perfect for a leisurely meal in pleasant weather.
While my experience at Ophelia Delhi was undoubtedly positive, there were a few aspects that could be improved. Read moreI visited this place for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place is not available for reservation on Zomato so I had to do it via other platform (EazyDiner).
Here's what we ordered - Drinks - We ordered Pineapple Tepache (think of it like Pineapple flavored apple cider vinegar), Orange and mint lemonade, Ophelia Love. The Tepache was quite different from my usual drinks. It didn't appeal a lot to me but it wasn't bad as well. The lemonade was quite flavorful, but it didn't have any orange flavor to it. Rather it was like a mint mojito with chunks of orange in it. Ophelia Love (spiced guava juice) was quite good and we would probably recommend it over the other drinks. Spaghetti Aglio e Olio - This was really good. The flavors were exciting and did not dissapoint. It was sufficient for one person. Pita bread with 3 dips, falafal - The Turkish dishes were definitely the show stoppers for us. The dips were amazing, the pita bread was really lovely. The falafal was perfect. If nothing else, I would definitely go back for this one dish. Classic vegetarian pizza - This was not too different from what we've had at other restaurants and didn't justify the...
Read moreRudest ! I find this restaurant pathetic. The food is bland, and I only revisited recently because of the ambiance. However, they refused us entry because my boyfriend was wearing Nike slides worth 4,000 rupees. It's unbelievable that an unpleasant-looking receptionist turned us away, claiming that open-toe footwear isn't allowed. Seriously? Old money values comfort, while people who go there just for pictures, order the cheapest dishes, and dress up in tacky clothes are allowed entry. Yet, genuine customers who are there for the food are turned away. This is shameful on so many levels.
These so-called "luxury" hotels trying to act like the Taj but failing to differentiate between old and new money is pathetic. Hospitality? Nonexistent. This place will insult you. Save yourself from the embarrassment and don't bother going. In an era where we're fighting for basic rights and freedom of choice in clothing, it's disgraceful to encounter restaurants like this, especially when they mistreat repeat customers as if...
