I was excited to visit P.F. Chang’s to try their creative pan-Asian offerings. I had my heart set on green Thai curry, but was surprised to find it missing from the menu. When I asked the manager why only red curry was available, he claimed both were the same except for the color. I disagree, having tried the green Thai curry at Kylin right across from them, I can say the flavor profiles are distinctly different.
I went ahead with the red Thai chicken curry, which turned out to be delicious. The accompanying Pad Thai was also flavorful. We also ordered Thai Chili Basil Greens and Mapo Tofu—both dishes were well-prepared and satisfying. However, the portion sizes felt small for two people, and we had to order more to feel full.
The mocktail I tried, Zen Garden, was a standout. It came with a shot of blue pea tea extract, a first for me, and was beautifully presented and refreshing. That said, the quantity was a bit underwhelming, not quite a full glass.
The ambience was pleasant, but the seating left something to be desired. I was seated on a sofa facing the entrance, which began to shake unexpectedly. A child at a nearby table was banging his head against the shared sofa back, causing the disturbance. I asked the server to intervene, but was simply advised to change seats—which I did.
I was curious about their signature prawns served in a cocktail glass, but the server mentioned they were sweet, which put me off, so I skipped them.
Overall, this was my first visit to P.F. Chang’s, and while there were some highlights, the experience could have...
Read moreIt’s a day worth remembering—the first time we step into PF Chang’s, and it just happens to be for Ma’s birthday. We’re here together—Ma, Baba, Shomit, and me—and the energy is lighthearted, filled with excitement for the evening ahead. The ambiance is warm, with dim lighting casting a cozy glow over the restaurant. The faint aroma of sizzling spices greets us as we walk in, setting the tone for what turns out to be an incredible dining experience.
We order a spread of dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The salad was the perfect starter—light yet flavourful, with a crisp crunch in every bite. Then come the main courses: Sichuan chicken melts in our mouths, signature lo mein noodles so perfectly cooked they practically dance on the plate, and the sushi whether it was the avocado cream or the dynamite shrimp roll, striking the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
The food isn’t just good; it brings us together in a way that feels effortless, a reminder of how these little moments mean everything.
By the time dessert arrives—a creamy, rich slice of cheesecake—we’re completely full, but none of us can resist just one more bite.
It’s not just about the food—it’s about celebrating her, being together, and realising that life’s best memories are often created over a shared meal at a wonderful...
Read moreI was truly impressed by PF Chang’s during my visit to their Los Angeles restaurant years ago, so naturally, I was excited to try it once it opened in India. I’ve visited both their Delhi and Gurgaon outlets, and my recent experience at the Vasant Kunj location stood out for its exceptional food quality. The flavors were spot-on and consistent with what I remember. The iconic prawns served in a cocktail glass were absolutely delightful—perfectly prepared with that familiar bold flavor. The shrimp and salmon dishes were also outstanding, fresh and flavorful. Even the soup, while not extraordinary, complemented the rest of the meal quite well. The only downside to an otherwise fantastic dining experience was the seating. The table and chair at our spot were quite uncomfortable—the height seemed off, making it difficult to enjoy the meal comfortably. I hope the restaurant takes note and works on improving the ergonomics of their seating. That said, the food quality was top-notch across the board, and I’d definitely return for the flavors alone. Just a little attention to seating comfort could take the experience from excellent...
