Its unfair that places are getting overhyped due to social media making the actual experience so underwhelming, and the proprieters who actually run the joints are not at fault at all. Located in a lane near the UPSC office on Jawahar road this place is on a footpath and cannot be missed. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and thankfully found the place empty. Once you reach there first you buy a token and give it to the person preparing the food, I bought a plate of tikkis and while they were decent enough (nothing to complain about) but was there a wow factor which would see this place earn so many accolades, maybe or maybe not. Next I ordered a plate of papdi chaat, wasnt too impressed with it either. Service is prompt and efficient, they care for the final product delivery - as I could see that when about to prepare aaloo chaat they were looking for the customer who had stepped away, very cautious in not preparing it and serving it cold, the cook actually waited till the customer came back and then prepared it. This is worth 5 stars. If you are around and feel like it, go, if you dont go - you are not missing something exceptional.

I went on Sunday. A lot of people were there. I went for Aloo Chaat and Aloo Tikki. I had Tikki and it was delicious. The chutneys were different and I guess that's what make it different from the rest of the places. One can surely go and enjoy and if not the tikki then the India Gate!

If you are a fan and a local must visit. Still the same old vibes every time you visit. The food quality has been down over time, still it's hygienic and sure to tickle your taste buds.... Tikki is a must try...!!!!

This is on Shahjahan Road near India Gate. Its also famous as UPSC chaat wala. He is very famous and has been visited by many famous personalities. The place is crowded most of the time but specially more in afternoon which is office lunch time. Me personally I feel He is over rated and over hyped as you can find much better stuff in Delhi. Also I found it very unhygienic and unclean and also the staff very rude. Parking can be a challenge specially in afternoon. As such people park inside the lane which you can enter from the other side little ahead of...

Updating it after an year. Taste has gone very low. To save tax they have started bothering customers to pay only in cash. Very poor experience in terms of taste of gol gappasnand quality of bharwa gol gappe.

Old comment (1 year ago) - Good and tasty street food. We tried Aloo Tikki, Gulab Jamun (the best), Pav bhaji, Masala Chain and Muska Bun. Tikki and Gulab Jamun were outstanding amongst others, who tasted great too. Only issue is there is no seating arrangement, not even to stand...
