Hot Breads — Restaurant in Puducherry

This is a modified review of mine been here for almost 15 years , during the 2010 it was such an awesome experience workers here had so much enthusiasm and even attend customers at the table and take orders. Now even if we site they dont probably answer properly , even when we go to the billing section there is so much slow response, I mean its abnormal , I was like what has happened to this place, all changing of place lighting and table and all that now , multiple times , but no warmth to the place , what actually is the food quality like these snacks are gone down in quality there is less quantity and taste , for example we had double decker danish and Quiche and float in veg and non veg , where did it all go? No simply the menu is scam, all are puffs and crisps and then they call Squiza or pizza or whatever charging for such small piece like 200 to 300rs , this is no more a bakery for regular people , its more like too much premium no justification of price , I do accept prices will increase, but then for the price now this not justified. Staffs lost their training, some seniors are there but they all forgot customer service and no table manners, just for job sake you can see how they walk and talk. See all customers are noticing , no one will comment then openly and prices not right . This is my opinion. To simply give an example usually we take photos of the dishes they display for taking pic one staff is saying photo taking is not allowed ? Lol , I am not any young new gen reviewer. This place needs renovations and to train the staff on hygiene. Don't handle the sugar cubes with your hands use tongs. My cup of coffee was served messy with coffee grounds and spillage on the sides. May 26.2020 Sir I have held several food handler permits put out by the health department. I worked over 20 years in food service. Absolutely nothing I did containmented the product. I used the tongs provided was wearing a thick mask and clean container which the product didn't touch. The Danish was covered in black ash. I have been coming to your bakery and it seems everytime I am treated with rudeness and I see several customers breaking distancing rules, not washing hands and leaving tongs in the baskets. I did the correct way and you yelled at me? I also bring my own containers saving you money and the time it takes for staff to fold. The cashier gets upset over 1₹ which I always pay the next time. Cockroach!! Yes found cockroach crawling on the pastries displayed on the shelves in a basket. Was shocked to see in store like hot breads. Informed one of the store person and he removed that basket immediately. Also notified the person at cash point but there wasn’t much reaction. I bought some bread and walked out but once after coming home I didn feel like having them as wondering how will the kitchen be, unhygienic. Customer self service point itself has cockroach and how could the kitchen be ? We don see the other side of the bakery, how clean it is.
