1000 Oaks has always been one of the go to dinner places in the city. The place boasts of a indoor and outdoor seating having different but fantastic vibes accommodating all age groups and giving you that modern yet erstwhile old Anglo Pune feel. Fun fact: the name 1000 Oaks was given after a racehorse the owners family owned.
There's an Andhra Festival going on at the restaurant till 28th July and #iwasinvited for a #foodtasting for the same. This is authentic Andhra cuisine with ingredients sourced from Andhra Pradesh and if you're looking for something different to tantalize those taste buds of yours, I highly recommend you to check this out.
We started with Rasam, is a hot and tangy drink which is gonna open up your salivatory glands and make you ready for the food about to come up!!
For starters we tried the Jeedioappu Pakodi, which was essentially cashew pakoda, works awesome as your chakna and is crunchy and crisp.
The Chepa Vepudu- was the tawa fish fry , with the perfect amount of masala to so as to have the fish flavour come out and not overpower the dish.
I'd highly recommend the pepper chicken fry(miriyaala Kodi vepudu) , which has a smoky and tangy note to it, and is something different from your normal everyday starter combinations. One good this about this is that even tho with that peppery taste, it doesn't overpower the chicken.
For the main course ,here's my suggestions!!
The goongura maamsaam and the goongura royallu , you go for either one of these!! These are made in an Ambadi leaf gravy but the former is Mutton and the latter being Prawn, you can go with your preference of meat. This is a tangy gravy but with enough spices to give it that chatka.
The maasam biryani, essentially mutton biriyani, cooked with the spices as compared to the layered way, tastes good and the mutton to rice ratio is good too.
To end that meal on a sweet tooth, they have the Seviya Payaasam, which is essentially kheer, has vermicelli and sabudana balls, and not too sweet but just right to end everything on...
Read moreTitle: Great Food, But Disappointing Service Experience
I recently visited 1000oak with my parents for dinner and had a mixed experience. While the food was delicious, particularly the Butter Garlic Prawns and Chicken Tandoori, the service left much to be desired.
Let's start with the positives. The food at 1000oak was excellent. The Butter Garlic Prawns were superbly cooked, and the flavors were rich and satisfying. The Chicken Tandoori was also tasty and well-seasoned, leaving us craving for more. The restaurant's ability to deliver delicious dishes is certainly commendable.
However, the service experience was quite disappointing. We were seated in the garden area, which offered a pleasant ambiance. However, the service staff fell short of our expectations. They seemed unprofessional and lacked attentiveness. As they were older staff members, perhaps they had become complacent or disinterested in providing a satisfactory experience to their guests.
Throughout the evening, we had to wait longer than expected for our orders to be taken, and the service was slow and inefficient. It was evident that the staff did not prioritize guest satisfaction. The lack of attention and care made us feel neglected and somewhat frustrated.
While the food quality was praiseworthy, it is disheartening that the service aspect did not live up to the same standards. A restaurant's success is not only based on the taste of its food but also on the overall dining experience it offers, which includes attentive and courteous service.
In conclusion, 1000oak impressed us with its flavorful and delectable cuisine, especially the Butter Garlic Prawns and Chicken Tandoori. However, the unprofessional and inattentive service staff marred our dining experience. I hope that the restaurant management takes note of this feedback and addresses the service issues to provide a more well-rounded experience for...
Read moreLast night, my friends and I decided to dine at 1000 Oaks, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. Located in a vibrant part of town, the restaurant's ambiance immediately sets a relaxed yet sophisticated tone, making it an ideal spot for both casual hangouts and special occasions.
The interior is tastefully decorated, blending modern aesthetics with a cozy charm. Soft lighting and comfortable seating arrangements create an inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with good company. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to the overall pleasant experience.
We started our evening with a plate of nachos, which were nothing short of delicious. The nachos were perfectly crisp, generously topped with a rich blend of melted cheese, fresh jalapeños, and a tangy salsa. It was evident that the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, making it a dish I would highly recommend to anyone visiting 1000 Oaks.
While we enjoyed our time at the restaurant, it's worth noting that the pricing is on the higher side. If you're looking for a budget-friendly meal, this might not be the best choice. However, if you're willing to splurge a bit for a quality dining experience in a great setting, 1000 Oaks is definitely worth considering.
In conclusion, 1000 Oaks offers a memorable dining experience with its delectable food and charming ambiance. Despite being a little overpriced, the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere make it a place worth visiting, especially for special occasions or when you want to treat yourself and your friends to...
