Cafe Peterdonuts has recently rebranded themselves as Cafe Peter, by dropping the donuts from their name to portray themselves as an outlet that serves much more than just donuts. Coinciding with the rebranding, the Prabhat Road Outlet has also relocated to a swankier place on Apte Road.
The place is just as vibrant and fun, with the signature theme of red and white all over however have incorporated lot more fun and quirky elements in the décor.
Having attended the launch event for Cafe Peter, visiting this place over food was always on the cards and I got such an opportunity recently, having convinced a friend to dinner outside. 😊
The Iced Americano [Rs. 140] was at just the right temperature, not too cold yet chilled enough to justify the name. And the potency of the coffee wasn’t diluted despite the ice cubes. A perfect drink for someone avoiding sugar, and maybe milk. 😊
Since I am avoiding deep-friend stuff, I only tried one piece of the Jalapeno Poppers [Rs. 219]. Loved the crunch on the outside and the molten cheddar helped cut the heat of the jalapenos. And it paired well with the accompanying dip.
Although I am not sure why it’s called the African Omelette [Rs. 229], the photo on the menu tempted me enough to order one. And of course, eggs are the most recommended options for the diet conscious. Minced spicy chicken stuffed in omelette served with sunny side up, hash browns, garlic bread and grilled tomato did present a good picture and the taste combination too was on point. #YumYum
No matter how much you try to avoid pizzas thanks to all the maida, you cannot stop yourself from taking a couple of bites if you’re a ‘za lover like me. The Chicken Pepperoni Pizza [Rs. 295] at Cafe Peter did present an uneven color with some parts of the pizza darker than the others however the taste was decent. Only drawback – the base needed to be crispier, this felt as soggy and soft as a thick naan.
Gochujang Roasted Steak (Rice) [Rs. 319] was a highly recommended dish at Cafe Peter and for good reason. Some lovely colors on the plate thanks to the gochujang sauce and the assorted butter fried veggies, the grilled chicken breast had a nice crispy coating which went well with the soft, cooked rice. #DeliciousDelicious
Not just another cafe that serves coffees and quick bites, Cafe Peter goes the whole hog, even incorporating South Korean cuisine on their menu apart from the Italian staples like pizzas and pastas. Offering free WiFi and peace of mind, Cafe Peter can be your next location to work, eat, chill and generally have a good time with...

Place name – Café peter, Apte road
CAFÉ PETERDONUTS recently got rebranded as Cafe Peter (As far as I know). They have many outlets in Pune.
Heard a lot about this place and finally decided to visit their branch at Apte road.
After taking a right from Hotel Vaishali on fc road into a small lane and going straight for few meters, you 'll find this cafe right across the road.
The red colored décor attracts you at first glance. The ambience is very mesmerizing and calm. Gives feeling of visiting some Angreji place :P The menu includes delicious salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, waffles, sizzlers, coffee etc.
We tried following from the menu and everything was liked by all.
· African Omelette (Open-face) · Cappuccino R coffee · Gochujang Roasted Steak · Hot garlic fries (Different from the regular ones, good option to try) · Jalapeno Poppers (It was okayish for my taste buds) · Diced Paneer in hot garlic sauce (Highly recommended) · Veg Exotica Pizza · Alfredo Penne pasta (Pasta was not propely cooked and quantity of white sauce was pretty less) · Hashbrown · Belgium Waffle combo (Highly recommended) · Sizzler chocolate brownie ( Highly recommended)
Perks of going in large grup, you to get taste loads of variety :P
We had one small concern on the service.. it was pretty slow as there was single person managing the entire show; starting from taking orders to serving to billing etc. Management need to give a thought here. No customer would appreciate longer waiting period.
Overall a good place to hangout....
Read moreThis has been on the list since a very long now and I finally visited the Apte Road branch. Though I wanted to visit it for their breakfast menu but job being a priority I could not make time in the morning. Nevertheless, visiting this cafe was worth the wait!
Their classic Red theme is so eye pleasing and will make you want to spend hours at the cafe. Great place for people who can work from anywhere, formal meetings, start up discussions and much more.
The staff was very generous and the service was quick.
They have an exciting Pizza festival going on (ends on 30th Sept) and I decided to try at least 1 of the Pizzas from that menu.
So, I ordered for an Alfredo Penne Pasta, Paneer Makhani Pizza from the Pizza Fest menu and a cup of hot Mocha.
I must say, the Pasta was a visual treat. I am sure, one could just not resist this creamy, saucy and cheeeesyy Pasta loaded with exotic veggies. Taste was heavenly. Highly recommended.
Coming to the Paneer Makhani Pizza, it is safe to say that this was the best fusion Pizza I have had till date. The rich, creamy and aptly tangy makhani gravy sauce blended so well with the cheese and was extremely flavourful. The thin crust was not the regular crunchy one. It was soft and not chewy at all even when the Pizza was cold. Would recommend people to visit soon before the fest is over.
The Mocha quantity was hugeeee. I am a Mocha coffee lover and loved it here too!
To conclude, this can be your go to place for date, business, start ups, chilling and what not. And now I look forward to explore their...
