Joshi Wadewale is a delightful culinary haven for anyone who loves authentic Maharashtrian street food. Known for maintaining quality and consistency, this popular chain stands out among the many snack joints in Maharashtra, delivering traditional flavors in a clean, family-friendly environment. Their menu offers a variety of iconic dishes that celebrate the rich flavors of Marathi cuisine, from the spicy misal pav to the crowd-favorite wadapav, each prepared with a perfect blend of spices.
The wadapav at Joshi Wadewale is everything you could want in this iconic dish. The potato filling is soft, mildly spiced, and well-seasoned, enveloped in a crispy, golden batter that gives each bite a delightful crunch. Paired with their special chutneys and green chili, it truly embodies the spirit of Mumbai street food. Another highlight is their misal pav, a dish known for its layers of flavors and textures. Joshi Wadewale’s misal has a robust, spicy curry base topped with crunchy farsan, fresh coriander, and a dash of lemon, served with soft pav. For those who can handle the heat, this dish is a must-try, packed with authentic taste and a perfect balance of flavors.
The kothimbir vadi, another Maharashtrian favorite, is perfectly crispy and delicately seasoned with coriander and spices, making it a satisfying snack that pairs well with their tangy, spicy chutneys. The texture is light, and the taste is both earthy and refreshing, highlighting the importance of fresh herbs in Marathi cuisine. Every dish here is reasonably priced, making Joshi Wadewale an ideal spot for students, office-goers, and families seeking an affordable yet quality dining experience.
In addition to the food, the cleanliness and efficient service set Joshi Wadewale apart. Unlike many street food stalls, this establishment ensures a hygienic environment, allowing customers to enjoy the same flavors of the street but in a more comfortable setting. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick, which makes it convenient for those on a tight schedule or looking for a quick snack.
Overall, Joshi Wadewale brings the essence of Maharashtra’s street food culture into a more accessible and inviting space. For anyone visiting Maharashtra or locals looking to revisit classic flavors, Joshi Wadewale is a must-visit destination. The balance of traditional flavors, affordability, and quality service makes it a standout choice for...
Read moreDisappointing Experience – Not Worth It
I recently visited Joshi Wadewale and tried their Vada Pav and Taak, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The Vada Pav lacked the flavor and freshness that you’d expect from a place claiming to serve authentic Maharashtrian snacks.
The Taak (buttermilk) was equally underwhelming. It tasted watered down and lacked the refreshing tanginess that’s characteristic of good taak. It felt like it was prepared without much care or attention to detail.
Compared to other popular places like Garden Vada Pav, this place doesn’t come close. Garden Vada Pav continues to hold the top spot for its unbeatable quality, flavor, and consistency.
While the service at Joshi Wadewale was quick and the prices are higher, the taste and quality didn’t justify even the modest cost. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying Vada Pav experience in Pune. There are far better options in the city to enjoy this classic street...

The Wada is not too much spicy but it's hot and chutney makes it spicy so tell them about your order specifically. Here there is no sitting arrangement they have put the tables so people don't stand after they finished eating and you can...
