However, if you're beckoned by the usual community experience of a 'tipple' after-work or with ol' buddies, Kavi is your best bet. If you enjoy watching a cricket match by fully immersing into the drama of the game (IPL), Kavi will not disappoint you. In short, Kavi is everything that a group hangout + sports bar needs to be. Situated in the heart of modern Pune city, Kavi has a beautiful ambience without any flashy lights, decorations and in fact, houses a simple pleasant blue-white interior. Kavi is visited by all sorts of demographic including young ladies, senior citizens and at times, families. The usual bar bites are superb (cheese chilly toast, garlic butter naan, chicken chilly, lollypop etc.) while complimentary chakna like boiled peanuts, chivdaa, wafers and in summers, cut raw mango (with masala) take center stage. The popular main course are usual chinese dishes but even the biryani (chicken and mutton) has become popular here. Do try a sizzling brownie, an ice cream or a kulfi on your way out.

The service is handled by our beloved 'Anna' who is always ready to provide impeccable service. While the service sometimes suffers due to less staff on crowded days, be kind to the waiters and captains. They are the heart and soul of this place, working super hard and coming from far off places. I remember once ordering a Bombil fry (with much discouragement from my fellow patron-friend) which they did not have fresh. But as I requested Anna, he quickly sent one of the staff to get fresh bombil fish from a shop and the dish was served to me within 30 minutes. Even my friend enjoyed it.

Lastly, support these bars in Pune. They're a rarity among the glam and wham of 'fine dining' restaurants who rack up prices for promises too good to be true and faltering service even to patrons. These bars deliver and at times do not market enough (like the bombil I tried), after all not everyone needs an MBA or a Hotel Management degree to provide a good experience. Been a regular here since 2013 and the vibe of this place has only gotten better with time. The chicken sukka kaala masala boneless and butter chicken are out of this world. As for alcohol aficionados, there's no better bar in town. If they don't have something you specifically want, rest assured they'll go and get it for you. The staff is always up for a joke or two, the lighting is practically perfect for an evening-to-late-night drinking session, and there's always some or the other live sport being telecasted in both sections of the restaurant.

The last few years, thanks to the interior redesign, have also seen a healthy influx of female customers regularly (which was once a rarity at Kavi). So, go on and experience the magic with your friends. And if you're drinking alone, there's a good chance that you might find more than a few tables chattering away, indulging in heavy debates, from sports and films to politics and business, giving you ample entertainment at all times.

Kavi restaurant and bar is one of oldest and mostly crowded bar located on main karve road backside of Girija Hotel at Erandwane.

It's very easily accessible from main road. Bar don't have vallet parking for 4 wheeler however you can get road side parking easily. Two wheelers can park the vehicle in bars parking.

You will find bar always crowded with people who used to come here on daily basis or few who make special adda for their gangs. Kavi is one of the oldest bar however as per time they have updated the service and serves hard liquor. Beers🍻, various 🍷 wines, also they serve awesome quality food🍕🍗🌮🌯🍖🍴. Special sea food can served here and people love it. Rates of the restaurant are very cheap and pocket friendly.

It's the only old bar where I have seen gangs with girls enjoy drinks so you will find this bar very comfortable and safe for them.
