What if I told you we have an awesome Instagrammable place on Deccan just next to Champion Sports.. Yes yes Yakii, Asian Tapas Club is the place to be..a fine dine Asian place. They also have another branch at BHS, Balewadi.. just go... thank me later... dont just go by the narrow entrance, they have a huge place inside and a valet parking is available too.. all my boxes for a memorable day out ticked rightâ
Now lets come to Food
Yakii has this awesome concept of Taste Labs.. where their chefs churn out new dishes with the freshest of ingredients.. seasonal rotating menu and are available for a month and the dishes which are liked by many get added to the not so hard to choose short menuđ.. dont forget to pair you food with awesome cocktails and mocktails.. I am a teetotaler so I tried the Ruby G and Thai Iced Tea and Kafir lime Lemonade, a perfect accompaniment for your food.. I am not a raw fish fan so had never tried sushi before.. but tried this time, and loved the smoked salmon Sushi.. will I now try sushi again.. I guess yes I willâșïž.. the pickled ginger and bit of wasabi on the side did the trick.. presentation spot on.
Tuna Carpaccio with yuzo soy dressing was yum and fresh said my fellow foodies.. ek din me ek hi raw fish dish I could try.. did taste the sauce though đ it was yum and the presentation of this dish was excellent.
Hot wings this was the best for međ I generally dont like chicken wings so much .. twice cooked chicken wings slathered with spicy sauce and drizzled with tangy tamarind mayo and cilantro pesto.. loved it Crispy Shitake Mushroom Salad: I love salads and I love mushrooms. But the shitake mushrooms batter fried didnt do much justice to the dish... Korean Lamb Bulgogi I felt the lamb little chewy informed the team.. but I will surely visit to try it again.. next on the menu Miso Butter Udon noodles spicy miso chilli butter sauce, chewy udon noodles and scallions tossed together.. Thai curry with Sticky Jasmine rice flavour full curry with waterchestnuts.. didnt I mention expect a twist and fusion with asian flavoursđ loved it.. go for it
The dessert was sticky date cake with caramel sauce and vanilla ice-cream.. go for the sinful caramel sauce and it all comes together so awesomely well.. I am not a big Tiramisu fan.. so just had one spoonful..overall it was one amazing afternoon with great food and good company.. I am so much in love with the ambience I could spend hours clicking pics.. gonna go there soonest with my girl gang.. DONT miss visiting...

Yakii is a must-visit for two main reasons: the incredible food and the unique atmosphere! From the moment you step through its big brown wooden door, the vibe instantly lifts your mood. Itâs almost surrealâyou could easily forget youâre in the heart of Puneâs Deccan area. Instead, it feels like youâve been transported to a beachside hideaway right in the middle of the city!
As you enter, you're greeted by an unexpectedly spacious area with a variety of seating options: indoor, outdoor, and bar seating.
With chef Ameya Mahajani leading the kitchen, you can look forward to an exceptional dining experience. Recently, we had the chance to try a special tasting menu.
Hot Wings with Tamarind Mayo and Cilantro Pestoâan incredible fusion of flavors in every bite, absolutely delicious!
Crispy Shiitake Mushroomsâour love for shiitake and ultimate crunch makes this salad an instant hit! It paired perfectly with the miso mustard dressing.
Lamb Bulgogiâwhile slightly chewy, the flavors were flawless.
Thai Curry with jasmine riceârich, bold, and packed with flavor. Loaded with Thai vegetables and perfectly cooked in a coconut milk base.
One of the standout dishes was Smoked Salmon Sushi, a must-try for sushi lovers!
Sticky date cake with caramel drizzleâpure dessert bliss! Even after a full meal at Yakii, youâll find yourself wanting more and likely taking extra portions home!
Another standout drink was the Kaffir Lime Lemonade. I was hooked from the first sipâsweet, made with kaffir lime, and a secret twist (hint: sweetened condensed milk) that adds a slight creaminess. It may look unusual, but itâs refreshingly delicious!
Overall, the food from the tasting menu at Yakii is good, but the dessert truly stole the show for me!
If youâre in the mood for some adventurous Asian cuisine, this photogenic spot in Pune is a must-visit! Itâs an ideal destination for a relaxed brunch that feels like a quick escape from the city. And to top it off, they provide valet parking for your convenience!

Read moreOverview : Wanted to try asian cuisine at new place, and stumbled upon yakii, situated in bustling locality of Deccan, it is surprisingly serene once you step inside. The stark contrast between the outside road and the inside restaurant literally gives walking into the Harry Potter Diagon Alley feel. The ambience, the experience, the courteous staff all are top notch, nothing to complain about, All and all its a solid 9/10.
Location : Situated near the deccan mall, beside the champion sports store. Thanks to the valet option available, you don't have to worry about parking if you are coming by car.
Food : Prawns Tempura Sushi - 9/10 A solid dish, prawns were beautifully cooked and the Sushi was neatly packed, with a side of pickled ginger , wasabi paste and soy sauce. A truly filling dish.
Chicken Basil Dimsums - 7/10 We opted for gyoza first but it was not available so the staff recommended us to go for dimsums. Overall the dish was good, but the chicken felt little bit overcooked as per personal liking and the dimsum casing was falling apart even while picking those up from the bamboo steamer.
Wasabi Amoked Salmon Tar-Tine - 9/10 Definitely the star dish among the things we had here. It was light and hit all the right notes, and was truly an experience.
Tori Yaki soba ( Chicken ) - 8/10 A little bit different than what I'm used to having, mostly because they used korean style sauces while making the soba, but nonetheless it was good.
Burnt Basque Cheesecake - 8/10 Taste wise it was definitely a good option, light and fluffy, with generous dollop of berry sauce, only if it could have been a little bit more on the portion size, the portion size felt small for the price it demanded
Drinks : Lemon Grass Iced Tea - 8/10 A mixture, Nothing toi watery nor too sweet, overall a good drink to go along...
