I traveled from Qatar to visit Golden temple. Heard about this place so thought to visit and try the paneer bhurji. Indeed it was an amazing experience, yes the place is small and three benches to sit and eat, But that's the beauty of it, because this place is for the food lovers. The price you pay is nothing compared to the taste you getting. Thanks to the technology(Google maps) it was easy to find but if you are the first time traveler, unaware of the streets and don't have the maps handy then the best option for you is the old style "uncle! ye Tara Chand paneer bhurji waale ki shop Kahan hai?", But even with the old style it is worth hunting the place. Freshly prepared in front of you with generous amount of Amul butter and fresh paneer, So no chance of saying "Mera pet kharab ho Gaya!". If you are a big eater then the quantity is good for one person but if not then have a partner with you. It was not spicy, for me at least, but if you are worried about spices then ask him to put less. Lastly... Even to ask for this shop you have to go to Hall bazaar(one of the oldest shopping market) which is very close to Golden Temple. So once you are tired and want to take a hunger break, visit this place to have finger licking Paneer Bhurji.
Keep hunting and eating...
Read more3/5 Stars I recently tried Tara Chand Paneer Bhurji Wala in Amritsar, and while it lived up to some of the hype, it didn't quite exceed my expectations. The paneer bhurji was flavorful and had a good texture, but it wasn't particularly exceptional or memorable.
Given the hype surrounding this spot, I was expecting something more extraordinary, but the dish felt somewhat standard. That being said, the portion size was generous, and the price was reasonable.
If you're a paneer bhurji lover, you might enjoy Tara Chand's take on this classic dish. However, if you're looking for something truly exceptional, you might want to consider other options.
Overall, I'd give Tara Chand Paneer Bhurji Wala 3 out of 5 stars. While it's a solid choice for paneer bhurji, it's not necessarily worth going out of your way for unless you're...
Read moreHad the chance to visit Amritsar a few days ago and came across this famous place—Tara Chand’s Paneer Bhurji—highly rated on Google.
I must say, this was my first time seeing paneer bhurji served like this—with just bread and chutney. The taste? Absolutely delicious! They prepare everything fresh on the spot, and you can really tell the difference. The soft paneer, the balanced spices, the simple but flavorful chutney—it all comes together perfectly.
Also, the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. If you’re visiting Amritsar, this is a must-try. Highly...
