“MOYE MOYE”
The entire experience can be summed up in those two words.
We went for dinner on the night of 13th January 2024. The pictures on Dineout looked decent and some offers were running so we decided to give it a shot.
Ambience:
It is a cramped place and the seating is uncomfortable.
It was quite loud as well, being located inside a mall. Additionally, every now and then the person whose phone was connected to the speakers was receiving notifications creating an annoying disturbance from time to time.
Food:
We ordered
Pineapple Ginger Mocktail- It was too sweet and there was hardly any flavour of ginger in the drink. The pineapple flavour in the drink was not from fruit juice but from cheap quality squash.
Crispy Lotus Stem- This was the only dish that we were able to finish. It was passable at best and the coating on the lotus stem was too thick and dense.
Grilled Chicken Burger- The burger was poorly constructed and too soggy. It was quite literally falling apart. The cheese used was not fresh and had a weird aftertaste. The accompaniments, fries and a coleslaw salad were of poor quality. The fries were soggy and the coleslaw was slightly watery. Could not have more than three bites.
Lasagne- It was too greasy and the meat seemed old and had a gamey taste. Overall it was just unpleasant and left me feeling disappointed.
All of the items seemed bland and somewhat frozen and old.
Service- The staff were trying their best and were responsive and quick.
Prices- Overpriced for the quality of food that is being served. We went home disappointed.
It seems like the restaurant management simply doesn’t care about running a decent...

Jonah's Bistro has been a go-to spot for me in the past, but my recent experiences have been nothing short of disappointing. Firstly, their new "2.0" menu is a letdown. Many items, including their once delightful sushi, are now missing. The quality of the food has noticeably declined, leaving me feeling bored rather than excited about dining there.
My recent visit to the Jonah's Bistro in Express Avenue mall, Chennai, was particularly disappointing due to their abysmal customer service. Despite knowing that we would be dining past 10pm, the stewards failed to mention upfront that the air conditioning would be switched off at that time. As a result, halfway through our meal, we found ourselves sweating uncomfortably in the summer heat.
When questioned, the staff at the billing counter offered feeble excuses and apologies, shifting the blame to the mall management. Their inability to provide a convincing explanation for serving customers beyond 10pm without adequate cooling further highlighted their lack of accountability.
Overall, Jonah's Bistro has lost its charm. If they continue to neglect customer service and food quality, I doubt they'll be able to compete in the fiercely competitive food and...
Read morewith high hope went to Jonah’s bistro , staff were polite but not properly trained for menu explanations. we pour ourselves a mineral water but inside glass there were a piece of paper (which show that they only dry wipe clean) ordered fried calamari( it was not fresh and smelly)
chicken fried rice with xo sauce( full of black pepper and spicy-which we were not told)
pasta aglio e olio -very saucey and spaghetti were over cooked(aglio pasta should be tossed with garlic and oil)
Tom yum soup- taste good only prawn we’re not fresh
on our halfway of the meals , we found small cockroach running around our tables and on our plate. we address this to our server, they only waived the service charge which is 10% from the bill.
it’s not the money or service charge which we wanted to highlight about.
it’s the hygiene and food taste which need to work on
Jonah’s bistro will be not my go-to...
