The Planters Paradise Multi Cuisine Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

We were about to go to a nearby restaurant but accidentally(unluckily) had to go this restaurant. It was a worst experience right from the beginning as the staffs were not at all patient to let us order as per our options. We were hindered by a staff to order our food even before we entered inside the hotel and we were never given access to the menu card. He simply made an order as per his wish claiming himself it to be the popular and best ones which in reality is a straight contradiction to his claims. He ordered us quantities which is more than enogh for us and was simply rude and reluctant to cancel or even replace the dishes. The taste of food was also simply normal and has nothing to hype on it. But the price of the food was exponentially higher and would never make any match to the quality of the food they serve. A single lime soda costed us Rs. 120 which was not even chilled and this makes you get a fair bit of understanding of to what extent they have soared prices for the food they offer which in reality does not worth for even a single penny of your hard-earned money. If you ever happen to come to ooty, never get yourself trapped in this hotel for food even if you have no other options.... To sum it up, it is really really unethical for the people in the food industry to loot the people's penny in name of food....which has nothing special for such value of money... Never ever visit this hotel....never...

First of all If you’re North Indian and visiting Ooty don’t ask your Tour guide or Taxi guy for North Indian Food Restaurant!!!

Our taxi driver took us to this place by saying it serves very good North Indian food and very good place. In the hope of getting chapati/Roti we went along. And it was the bad decision!

Not recommended at all, first it was too much costlier, they have Thali/meal in menu but within that Thali/Meal they don’t provide Roti. so what’s the point of Thali here! Second, the behaviour of Manager and Staff, I found them not just rude but very rude! We ordered main course and we were looking in menu for other things to order and the guy literally snatched up menu from my hand, like they don’t have other copies! When food arrived my wife asked for lemon and onions, without responding anything waiter just went away, like nothing happened. I again asked to manager for same and he called Waiter for same, though they were talking in local language I couldn’t understand much but I’m sure it was about that only. Some time you feel insulted, you’re paying money not having anything free there and still such people behave that way it’s not appropriate.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS ABOMINATION. Can't comprehend the 4-5 star reviews added. I was in Ooty for a tour, and visited this place as it was recommended by our driver. The captain at the entrance suggested us 2 chicken biryanis, one mix kebab and chicken crispy. Dude didn't even give us time to check the menu and decide because of the rush. We went with his recommendation only to be surprised with bland biryani, uncooked chicken crispy and cold kebabs (which literally cost 610). We returned the crispy as it was as bad as chewing bubblegum (which they were hesitant on canceling). Also, just imagine, we were served all of it in 5 minutes after placing the order. When asked to cancel the cold kebab, they ended up taking it, heating it so much that it was burnt and brought it back to us. We ate just 2 pieces, didn't even finish the biryani.

We ended up paying 1018 for just ordering two items which were so bad that those couldn't be finished by three people. The people we shared our table with, experienced the same. Saw another couple at the billing counter having an argument for the...
