Royal Sandwich — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

A good collection of sandwiches with a wide variety to choose. They serve both veg and non veg and chocolate categories of sandwiches at very affordable prices. One gets to choose from over 100 different subsets of sandwiches and what type of sandwich u name it u will get it. The prices start from a mere 20 rs and they go up to 70 rs per sandwich. They also serve mocktails, shakes, ice teas and cold coffees which cost around 50 to 60 rs. Before about a year of so it used to be an open place for anyone to walk in, grab a sandwich and go, now they have customized the place, made it air-conditioned and created a small diner for people to sit and enjoy sandwiches with selfies. Sometimes the place gets so busy in the evening that one has to wait in queue to get sandwiches. ROYAL SANDWICH SHOP in alwarpet is that famous. If someone wants a quick, appetising and delicious meal at a low cost, this the place for YOU. At the minus end, the diner tables can be maintained a little bit better, as they weren't cleaned from the leftovers. Also in the last corner table, cardboard boxes of water were arranged and there was no place to pull up the chair and sit. The sauce bottles in the tables were dirty and not maintained properly. Probably Royal sandwich shop can arrange for some table cleaners. Overall a very good place for a evening snack or for a brunch or even for a light supper perhaps. A great idea is if the RSS guys can come up with a theme or so it would be a god hangout...

One of the few sandwich shops which always makes me crave for more.

Pizza sandwich - Gravy filled sandwich with pizza sauce and bean filling; spicy toast

Focaccia paneer cheese - Closed focaccia with bite sized paneer; well dressed with moderate seasoning, ain't greasy

Brownie ice-cream sandwich - OH WOW, Dessert sandwiches are always the best; that brownie with a scoop of ice cream, the chunky crispy cold sweet combo, HEAVEN!!!

Veg momos - Soft with mild stuffing with great dips

Kitkat shake - So thick & slurpy with original Kitkat flavours all over it; goes best with any spicy sandwich

Masala lemonade - Personal favorite; that Thums-up with ice and chat masala topped with, BLISS!! Always has a unique flavour

Though a small outlet, this place has always lived up to its expectations of being one of the best places in Chennai. While their food satisfies the tummy craving, their lucrative prices satisfies one's wallet. Roadside parking might be tricky; service was quick enough with ads decor all over their walls & limited seating space.

Royal Sandwich Shop- It isn't Royal by the looks but with its taste.

Myself, Muthu Kumar and Saravanan Shankar being avid and regular customers for the past 8 years, never had been bored with Thier sandwiches.

I knew this place from my higher class grades way back from 2007 which was then a very small shop in TTK road, best known for its bread omlette.

Now, they have a big list of varieties close to 200+.

Very economical and a must try! Thumbs up for thier continuous effort to retain Thier customers for a very long time.

And, this shop has been the saviour for many youngsters who are jobseekers and can't afford too much on a food.
