Millet Maagic Meal (Alwarpet) — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Amidst the 5 star ratings I'll tell you why I rated this a 4 star when I had no issues with the food they served. We have been to their Anna Nagar branch and we loved it.

"This review is not for the free Brownie - rather it is to register my observation and mild grievances. " Posting this after coming home.

Here I go -

While, We are aware that majority of the customers are online through various delivery 🚚 apps, Just as we found many Swiggy boys outside this branch too.

After getting a decent parking lot near this restaurant, before we stepped into the place a board placed outside the door 🚪 caught our attention. "Today's Special"!

Having read the list on the board I had already decided my order - "Shahee Paneer Parotta. "

Most of the tables were free. We selected a table at the rear end!! The waiter came to take our order and I asked for the one on the board - he said it is not available .... Then he went to check with the chef..... Later he Said ," it is available!" So I said Shahee Paneer.... He didn't allow me to complete...... Finally before leaving he asked ,"Madam you have placed only your side dish do you want any roti?" What!! I assumed the order was for a Parotta. I told him that's what is written on the board . He said, "No, that's not available!"......

If it is not available then why keep a board saying "Today's Special"!! 😜

Finally, my husband and I placed an order for a lunch Combo with Phulka/Chapathi.

There was one other person who was getting confused with the tables and placing orders on our table which wasn't...

Edited (03/04/23): Thank you to the owner, for being so kind, listening to us and valuing our feedback and criticism. It is much appreciated. We ordered some dinner today and the food was amazing - love these millet based idlis and dosas that are way more filling than the regular ones. My kiddo especially loves the Ragi Dosa which is superb, and my favorite is the karuveppillai mini idli. They also gave us additional idlis/mini idlis, I assume to compensate for the missed order from last time, incredible hospitality. Thank you very much and we're looking forward to tasting more of your great food in future! Ordered just for the second time today since their breakfast was soo healthy and good. But they missed my extra poriyal. And the guy who picked up the phone was so nonchalant and didn't even a say a sorry for missing, instead he retorted "it will be like this because we have too many orders and the misses are bound to happen". And then i had to ask him what I should do now, and he said we cannot do anything now since lunch is closed but that i can call them for extra poriyal next time I order from them. Wowww... Just wowww ...When your arrogance gets to your head it's only a matter of time before it hits the rock bottom. But then again they don't care since they have so much demand/money. Maybe try spending some of that great "in demand" money you make on hiring extra folks who can quality check your food order before being...

Can health and tasty food travel together? yes! it is a possible!! not a philosophy but a fact of perfect magic... She directs the kitchen...Today youngsters... seniors... women & children those who really longing to lead a qualitative road map only comes here to dine... of course some of the names are tagged with western nomenclature ...for example pizzas ... pastas ...but the base will be any one of the millets... uncompromisingly the lady entrepreneur has been maintaining highest standard of quality in every menu...including desserts...coffees..teas.. are made of Palm sugar an natural energy.....
