Yesterday, I went to this restaurant with my friends. I usually visit Samco, but this was my first time trying out this particular branch. We ordered a bunch of items, including one chicken rice and one mixed seafood rice. When the food arrived, we all started sharing it, only to realize that they hadn’t served the seafood rice. Instead, they brought us two chicken rice dishes.
We called the staff and asked them to bring the missing seafood rice, but the guy straight-up refused and asked us to pay extra for it. We told him it wasn’t our fault, they brought the wrong item, so why should we pay for their mistake?
The manager disappeared for a while as we waited. When he returned, he said they had checked the CCTV footage and claimed that the chef did use seafood. At that point, we were like—so you're saying we’re lying now? He even had the nerve to say, “Shrimp looks like chicken.” We replied, “Really? Do you think we can’t tell the difference between shrimp and chicken?”
I asked them to show us the footage, because all this chaos over one rice item was just too much. Honestly, it felt like a thief reviewing his own CCTV footage and saying, “See? I didn’t steal anything.” If they really wanted to verify, they should have involved a third party. After all that back and forth, I just said, “Leave it.”
Maybe the chef really did prepare seafood rice, as the CCTV suggested—but chances are they served it to another table that ordered the same thing. Still, as a business, they should be customer-focused. Instead, they lost 8 customers that day just because of their careless service. And mind you, the food actually tasted great—that’s the reason I’ve always liked Samco. So I gave the manager two clear options: either bring us the seafood rice without extra charges, or remove it from the bill. He refused both and offered us a discount instead. Fine, we asked for the bill. When we looked at it, the discount was just 2% around ₹70. I thought to myself, “Do they think we’re beggars?”
I told them to keep their silly discount, paid the full amount, and made it clear this would be our last visit to Samco, at least to this branch. Worst experience...
Read moreDear all.....if you're willing to end up your day on a good note so then please do not spoil your mood while giving them a chance to feed you something unexpectable. We have ordered for kadhai chicken which I really don't have an idea from where they have got the recipe, which was so pathetic that we couldn't able to swallow it down, coming to the second one Dal tadka, I think the chef should do a deep analysis to find the correct balance in terms of taste, product, brand and value. He should probably visit nearest places to get it sorted, its not the end aloo jeera.....omg what was that? I never had something in my life like this. Chicken manchow soup wasn't that bad, dragon chicken which we order had came with some extra sweet touch in it. Staff's are clueless what supposed to be done and how to react, one of the my friend had asked for some onion and guess what they have served it in no time but it had a false taste and smell, seems like they are using it for a long time. The same has been intimiated to the supervisor (i am not able to recollect that gentleman's name) as a review....and then you know what action he had taken, he just responded back with his absence till the time we were there..... They have charged us some thing 1300 bucks in return with this amazing experience we had in there.
It's an definitely not the place to visit...
Read moreFood is tasty, Atmosphere is peaceful and family friendly. We took our parents for a family Lunch and we were very satisfied with the food quality and staff behaviour. We tried Veg fried rice, Veg Manchurian balls in gravy, Singapore Hakka noodles and Dry chilli paneer. All of the dishes were well cooked. We wanted to try the Tender Coconut Pudding, but unfortunately it was out of stock. The server named Chaitanya was very polite and helpful.
Edit: On second visit, it was even better!!
We ordered Ceylon Egg paratha, which comes in 4 pieces. it's absolutely amazing.
Then we had Veg fried rice with Patiwala Chicken. Patiwala chicken is such a nice surprise. it's chicken keema with lots of spices wrapped up in thin layers of Omlette, and cut in rolls, then dunked in thick grevy.
Then we tried Chicken Dum biriyani paired with Egg masala grevy. The biriyani rice was good, although a bit dry. Biriyani comes with spicy Eggplant and raita as side dishes. both were okay. The biriyani had 2 chicken pieces Both had a bland taste. i didn't like the chickens. Egg masala gravy was just okay. It was necessary to eat those chicken pieces in the biriyani.
Lastly we had Tender Coconut pudding. It's mildly sweet with tender coconut flavour and very refreshing. Highly recommend.
As always, the staff are very helpful...
