The Residency Towers need to improve quite a bit on their service standards in serving overseas customers.
Front desk receptionist does not know what we are asking and they seem rude in answering questions or their answer is wrong. They made us wait for 1 hr plus after checking in from our long distance Trichy trip.
The room that they assigned had faulty dustbins and toilet was not cleaned properly. We came after Trichy trip and it was really awful to know that rooms aas not ready even after 3 plus.
Full renovated toilet but it has not been well-maintained.
Breakfast was served in temporay place and the qaulity of the food was not there. Coffee was not hot and it was kept in flask and served. Upon request they maxe ftesh coffee . New restaurant was getting ready so our breakfast was miserable. Hotels like GRT and Crowne Plaza served well spread breakfast.
We needed to catch flight the next day and we had to measure the baggage weight and since morning no one attended saying can use the bathroom scale which was not accurate. They shared that the machine battery had to be changed and it was faulty due to renovation going on since morning. We was not able to measure the baggage weight till late night. This really gave us a lot of frustration.
Despite of all this, we want to thank the staffs who was dedicated in their service.
I was fuming in anger after my Trichy trip as the room did not look well cleaned and it did not look like the room we was assigned with before the Trichy trip.The duty manager was very nice person and he promptly assigned another room to us. Forgot to see his name but he was a north indian.
Mr Shahjahan who waa very helpful in finding the nearest hospital as my aunty needed to change dressing and he quickly found the nearest hospital and followed up with our queries efficiently. He has a pleasant personality and value guests.
Mr Imran who attended to us always with a smiley face and ensured everything was taken care of. He helped us to measure the weight of our baggages and he was really patient with us compared to the other one. Mr Imran really values guests and he is dedicated to his work. We totally loved his service with a smile.
We are leaving to Singapore tomorrow and I hope The Residency Towers improve their standards especially serving their overseas customers who come all the way to enjoy...

For a 5 star hotel, they do not operate at a 5 star efficiency.
My biggest complaints are
Day 1: TV malfunctioned. This was resolved quickly.
Day 2: Fridge malfunctioned (it was already broken on Day 1). This was resolved sooooo slowly. It took them literally 4 hours cos NO ONE came until we had to call reception. Not sure what miscommunication happened between housekeeping and maintenance. Pillow had a huge period stain that housekeeping did not see.
Asked housekeeping to clean the room before we left in the morning. Came back after lunch (around 3pm), room not done. Housekeeping left bananas instead. Had to literally tell them to come to the room and clean. What is the point of the clean my room function in the tablet? I will never know.
Day 3: Tablet controlling room functions did not work and the hotel phone broke. Went down to reception only to have a staff said why don’t you charge the tablet? Oh wow, why did I not think of that? Guess what, the power control of the tablet dock is loose.
Again, housekeeping will only come to clean your room way later in the late afternoon. I understand there is a cleaning schedule. But to schedule it to 3pm-4pm to clean rooms is…unacceptable. This is my first time experiencing this.
Also, my room is next to their renovation works. So drilling went on till about 6pm. So don’t expect a relaxing stay at this hotel.
Is it my bad luck? Maybe. Is the hotel poorly maintained? Yes. Just flip some of the items in your room and you will see dust. A lot of it.
To be fair, the crew is respectful. They did what they are tasked to do. Anything more than that…maybe not.
My breakfast buffet experience was ok. Food is delicious. The flavours came through. Really great, just not the cereals and the pastries.
Just that on my last day, the crew was…zombie like. My table was dirty. Literally my cutleries were not washed properly. There were stains from previous meal service (urmmm gross much?). Best part is the waitress looked at me blankly when I said it is dirty. Had missing breakfast items that was ordered. So, not a pleasant experience.

Read moreWe had an enjoyable experience despite having some issues, but all was addressed by the hotel manager, Mr.Subairullah Khan, who took care of all our requests. We very much appreciate his hospitality and humbleness. Thank you! He made excellent efforts to make our stay comfortable.
They got some admirable staff like Danush ,Poornima, and Nunga at the club service lounge .
Room service staff Manikandan,Jawahar, and Muthukumar went the extra mile.They made our stay seemless as possible.
I have to talk about the service and food enjoyed at the 'main street' restaurant situated in the lobby ! The staff always served with a smile ,they were so warm and welcoming I ended up dining there most of the time! They cater to every need,you could find some surprises like neem water and flower waters!
The food was heartwarming and made with love! Kudos to each and every waiter and waitresses and the hard-working chefs!
We were travelling with children, including a baby, so every simple act of kindness by the crew made my day special. Helpful doormen and kind front staff needs a mention as well.
Rooms were comfortable and had a lovely view of the city.Everything is automated and controlled with a tablet .
The room service food is always made to order, and they would always call and confirm your dietary needs.
The spa services were well worth it! I enjoyed the facial and hair service. It's unisex . My husband recommended that everyone try the spa pedicure service, which was relaxing!
The hotel was near to all the main shops. Got a KFC and mc Donald’s nearby as well as Malaysian and Indian food restaurants.
They got a great swimming pool aswell.
The hotel has a great ambience. you don't feel like you are in the heart of the city once you enter the premises.
The noise from the club during the weekend and the noise from the renovation going on in the building was disturbing, but if you get the rooms in 18th, the 19th floor, it would not...
