Sri Mahalakshmi — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I was returning to home from office. It started raining when I was crossing after Perungudi Toll. I stopped and waited near a shop. Waited for 10 mins. It was still raining. Then thought of trying nearby restaurants. Googled. Hotel Mahalakshmi was just 15 meters away. Impressive reviews. Went there. The hotel was small and moderately clean. Ordered Chapathi (₹40). They first brought banana leaf covered plate with 2 kurumas. Then chappathi was served. The taste was good. Must be sufficient for a person. Having read about the chutneys, Ordered Rava Masala Dosai (₹50). 3 varieties of chutneys and sambar were given and dosa was served. As pointed by others, the chutneys were fresh. Also the quantity of chutneys were more than enough.

Update: Ordered Mini Tiffin(₹80) through Swiggy. It contains Pongal, Masala Dosa, Idly, Pori, sambar, chutney, Pori sidedish, Kuruma, coconut chutney and a masala vadai. All were good especially coconut chutney. Recommended. Only downside was they were not hot. The Swiggy staff took some time to reach the restaurant and pick the order. It might be the reason why the dishes were not hot.

Update: Tried Karadosa (₹50). Good.

I want to rate this hotel as below average in taste and service. This place is near to BSR mall towards chennai one area, same side of BSR. I asked for iddli , the person told not available, it's okay ..it was night 9pm. But once I started waiting for my Mushroom Masala dosha, I found a guy who just came served mini iddli set. The mushroom Masala dosa stuffing was full creamy and sweet in taste, not at all a combo with dosa. I some how adjusted with a less tastey , watery Sambar and ice cold chutneys (it is an AC room). I ordered a paper roast then, the person took it to the table , before placing it, with his bare hand he folded it , so as it not touch the table when placing. Idea is good, but I am seeing water in his hand , I felt it very bad. Cost is average it was 160 for...

A truly awful experience. Despite waiting for service, not a single waiter bothered to take my order. When I finally managed to place it, three different waiters approached me, yet they prioritized couples and families while completely disregarding solo diner.
