The Belgian Waffle Co — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Today i went to this location with my twin daughters. I gave them Rs.500 and ordered two waffles. They said no change and demanded exact total amount. I told them i dont have change and they asked me to pay via Gpay. Since i didnt bring my phone i told them to accept cash. The customer rep a girl who stood there at the counter was very unfriendly and replied in a rude tone no change and asked me to give Rs.20 instead and my husband managed to give that amount and the order was placed. Her tome sounded like give that change and place the order or go back.

Again i requested them to give one waffle in1/2 (Half waffle in one packet) since my daughters are small kids and i dont want to waste the food. She again replied in a rude tone sorry we dont provide in that way. My husband even suggested pay extra money for that additional cover and again she replied in a unfriendly manner. I just asked my husband to let it go as the whole atmosphere was not customer friendly from the beginning. Please educate your staffs to be customer friendly and that one extra cover wont hurt your business.

All the waffles are priced in Rs. 150, Rs. 170, R.180 range, is it not shop responsibility to have enough change. How do they expect every customer to carry exact amount to the shop? Are you running waffle shop or PTC bus for customer to carry exact change? This is not first time im facing change issue with that shop every time they run out of change. I prefer not to visit...

My rating is 4 for The Belgian Waffle Co. The quality of their main product is excellent. The crispy outside and soft inside makes their waffles perfect. I also like the fact that the sweetness quotient is closer to European levels which is perfect for me. I am not a sweet tooth. I like it somewhere in between.

When I walked in the place was empty. Sadly there was only one person and she was literally running a one man show. She was taking orders, manning the cash counter, making the waffles and shakes and cleaning the table etc. I tried the Soan Shake which is Indian sweet and it was nice but my request of reducing the sugar levels was not taken seriously. She said we cannot reduce the sugar levels. Why can't a big company like Belgian Waffles take care of this ??!!! The shake was close to freezing and very very sweet. I am sure if would have been a good shake had the sugar levels are a little lower.

The restuarant was nice and well designed. The lighting was very comfortable. The tables and chairs are designed for short time seating. The time for food to reach the table is around 10-15 minutes. The place is clean and well kept but very small. May be there was 4 tables.

The car park was literally non existent I guess Shanti Colony one can get a car park only after a fight. Overall a nice place...

Served us old waffle. Cold and soggy. When enquired staffs answered rudely. Freshly prepared waffle should atleast be warm and crunchy even if they hold in fan for a few seconds. They did not take ownership for the mistake. Many customers faced issues on that day. Serving late. Prioritising online orders and making customers wait for more than 30 mins even when the crowd is minimal. There are adequate staffs but looks like no one is interested to serve properly. I also saw many reviews were posted and mostly all of them were negative and some with the same points like I mentioned above but looks like even the management hasn't taken any measures to resolve this issue except for posting automated replies.
