We attended your New Year’s party, and while we had a good time, there were some major issues that need to be addressed.
First, we weren’t told until after making the payment that only half the price was redeemable. While we were okay with that, the real problem started with the handling of our cigarette boxes. They were taken at the entrance with no mention of any restrictions, and we were told we’d get them back after the party ended at 3 AM. Yet, some people were allowed to take their boxes inside, which was pretty unfair.
When we went to collect our boxes, we weren’t let in after 2:45 AM. After waiting around till 3:35 AM, we were finally told we wouldn’t get them back because of some “police policy.” If that was the case, why wasn’t it mentioned when we handed them over? The staff was rude and dismissive when we tried to explain, and it honestly felt like no one cared about resolving the situation.
We get that it was New Year’s and things can get chaotic, but this was poorly handled. A shoutout to Saurav, though—he was the only one who acted professionally compared to the rest of the staff.
Hope you take this feedback seriously and improve how you handle such situations...

They will restrain you, if you are in casuals or shorts and wearing slipper. You have to be wearing a pant and shoe to get the access into the bar. The name is willow bar but they are running as a night club and having the rules of night clubs.
They don't convey this information politely. They have bouncers in the willow bar entry and he will treat with you arrogance and deny access if you are wearing a shorts.
Marriot should give a proper training to their staffs on treating their guests. These people treat you like a tresspasser if you don't have the proper dres
Pathetic.
Guys, never go here. They are confused if it is a night club or bar.
I have been here many times. All the time entered with shorts. This time they restrained me. Will never visit again.
Whereas if you are staying with them you are allowed with the shorts. I dont know the logic for this.
If you want a bar not a night club, try trident's arcot bar...
Read moreWe called ahead to clarify if outside guests would be served in the Willows at 10:30 pm and we were told that we were welcome. However, when we got there, we were refused service because of a dress code - shoes are compulsory apparently, and one of us was shod in sandals. And what’s more, the manager tries to convince us that this is standard policy all over the country. In all hotels. No one had the sense to clarify this amazing policy when we took the trouble to call ahead. Because apparently even in a hot country like India, if one needs to have the gumption to walk into a place like the Westin, one needs to only wear shoes. There were guests seated who were wearing sandals. These apparently were in house guests. So there is a different set of standards for in house guests? This is a hotel that takes it’s supposedly exalted status a little too seriously and common sense and courtesy a little...
