Last week one fine day i had been to this restaurent with family. We were welcomed by the smiling people at the reception. We were taken to our seats which was kept in a neat manner. Ordered starters which were delicious. Main course was much tastier. Finished with my favourite pan icecream with warm gulabjamoon. Totally we enjoyed the food. All items were exceptionally good. Served with well groomed smiling service personnel. No delay in preparation and servicing. The owners sitting at the counter are tiredlessly took rounds of the entire restaurent including the kitchen and take care of everything the customers needs. Very good music played with latest hindi and English numbers. Not too loud nor too low sound. At the entrance there are two attractions. One is the water fountain which is hot for the kids who like to play with the water leaving the adults to have their food freely. Another one is the very attractive wall garden with artificial flowers. This one attracts even elders who takes selfies with that. As they have a valet parking no problem of any number of cars. The restaurant is at a busy Vijayanager bus terminus very close to velachery metro station. Anyone who passes by Tharamani road can pull over and have food in a relaxing way. The very best of this restaurent is the food items prepared by authentic north Indian chef and his assistants. Because of this there is a big crowd at the week ends for which one has to book seats in advance to avoid waiting. The restaurant caters not only north indian dishes but international cuisine as well like Thai, Malai, Chineses etc. Authentic jains food also available. Their favourite is Rs.99 Thali during week days which is cheap and the best. Finally we left with nominal bill and fully satisfied. Want to taste different items next...
Read moreA plethora of vegetarian options available to have a good sumptuous dinner. Went in for an early dinner, right when the restaurant opens for dinner, at 7pm.
Wanted a quite corner to catch up. The waitress slowly presents the menu and gives us time and when we missed out to decide within about a few minutes, she politely comes by the side hinting that she insists and we ask for options from her. Got suggestions for Chinese pops for the starters and decided on palak soup.
The palak soup was surprisingly tasty and not the artificially kind, I really like it. The Chinese pops were a pretty good one too, with 6 pieces, each them visibly filled with Gobi, mushrooms and paneer and sauted in tasty Manchurian like sauce. Both these were good.
Ordered rotis and paneer mains and though the paneer mains were lip smacking with melting paneer, the rotis could've been a bit more lively.
Ordered classic lassie and masala soda. The lassies were decorated extravagantly and was smooth. The masala soda's carbonation wasn't powerful enough and I didn't expect to be sweet.
One thing I hated was that even after special mention of not to put straws, all the three drinks came with straws😕 Killing a star here!! Because we even involved the waiter and asked him about the straw policy after the ban and he was like "we don't give straws until explicitly asked for" and here I was, despite explicitly forbidding straws, we were served with it.
Decent value for money. Decent service. Good food. Good choices. Good ambience except for the slightly loud music. A good place for lacto-ovo vegetarians to hang out. There was a mention in the menu on Jain style preparation...
