BOULEVARD by Design Hotel Chennai — Hotel in Zone 13 Adyar

Last day I stayed at the Boulevard Design Hotel inside Phoenix Mall Market City and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, I was impressed with the room design and the lobby design. They were both very attractive and unique, giving the hotel a modern and stylish feel. Additionally, the fact that the hotel is located inside a mall was very convenient for shopping and entertainment options.

However, I was okay with the cleanliness of the hotel. The bedsheets and bed quality were quite poor. The bedsheets felt rough and uncomfortable, and the bed itself was not very supportive or comfortable to sleep on. This was quite disappointing, as a good night's sleep is essential for any hotel stay.

Furthermore, the sponsored breakfast at the hotel's Annam Cafe was underwhelming. The variety of items was limited and did not meet the expected quality for a 4-star hotel. This was quite disappointing, as breakfast is an important meal to start the day off right.

Overall, my experience at the Boulevard Design Hotel inside Phoenix Mall Market City was average. While the room and lobby design were impressive, the cleanliness is okay and bed quality were lacking. Additionally, the breakfast did not meet my expectations. Nice place to hang out in a hotel with antique and auctioned products in exhibition.

Pros : Built within the Phoenix Mall. Provides Kama products even in basic acomodity range. Helping and understanding multilingual staff Quick service for packed products in rooms. Rooms are spacious and well mentained. Separate floor for bar and restorent Fresh food and takes care of special demands with zeal and zest. You can even find some special antiques like very old temple horse and some original Harry Potter movie auctioned products.

Cons. Not adiquet lighting in rooms and causes strains in eyes on prolonged reading in room. Comparitive to extra quite nights with pin drop scilence days are extra noisy with outer vehicle sounds . No balcony spot for fresh air you have to only depend on air cooling system. You won't get autoriksha for roaming the markets. For the same you only have depend on cabs and cars. Or you will find these CNG 3 - wheeler cab outside the mall premisses which are much cheaper than a cab. In rooms, you have to order the basic requirements for second person in same room which feels much annoying for every small thing like bathroom sleepers. Staff should have maintenaned the room for couple stay at least to avoid...

My bad times started when I wanted to park my car, the hotel claims to be a 3-4 star property, but does not even have a proper parking service. I was told to go down to the mall parking and park in B9, but the whole place was barricaded and I had to wait at least 5 mins before I decided to make my own parking. It’s seems that the person who was supposed to assist me was having lunch. Well done guys, I had to wait 15 mins with over a hundred cars honking their backsides off because I was blocking.

I had booked a deluxe room but first I was shown their standard room, when I asked for a different room, then I was given a deluxe room.

This place is so dimly lit that it does not suit family vacationers. I would not say that it’s not safe enough for family people, but I do not suggest this place for families.

The complimentary breakfast that they give, they make you wait such a long time that you would just get fed up, and leave.
